    Pathetic .....

Just watched the end of a rerun of this, and it's beyond hilarious that they showed a pre-taped skit with the whole cast breathing in each others faces, UNMASKED (gasp!!), risking their lives, but of course at the end of the show, everybody wearing their face diapers to show the world how virtuous they are. If I haven't mentioned how effing pathetic this is is during my review, then here it is again ..... Oh, OK .... I'm 192 characters short. Let me say again, how PATHETIC the Great Hysterical Overreaction was. But I'm soooo glad they wore face diapers to end the show. Hollywood leads the way in EFFING STUPID. Congrats ....

    What's wrong with this season?

SNL has been quite lame since season 46 began, and the presidential election Cold Open sketches were the only good thing that made me watch it. But now it's just totally gone to seed. And what's with bringing hosts that are not that good at comedy?

Funny Ha Ha. No, more like Funny Nah Nah!

I keep trying to see if SNL is able to re-capture some of their earlier 1970's & 1980's success but this season opener just continued with the same boring political views and ugly criticisms .

The second song and guitar riff by music guest Machine Gun Kelly was the only entertainment provided in this entire episode so I moved up my IMDB rating from a 2 to a 3.

Come on writers can you not show even a fragment of creativity and give us something to laugh at rather than snicker at our left and right wing politicians? It's awfully boring and simply a redundant bore the last several years.

I call out the entire writing staff to throw away the old SNL handbooks (they are old and repetitive ad nauseum) and start from a clean slate, and/or either quit and let some raw new writers/creators have a chance to save SNL or just go off the air completely and replace it with the Home Shopping Channel. That we can laugh at.

    This is getting sad

As much as I hate agreeing with Trump, it just might be time to retire this show. SNL is really, really bad this year and the new cast members are incredibly weak.

Not funny but it was nice to see Machine Gun Kelly and John Krasinski at least

The skits were overall just weak and not particularly funny. I smiled once or twice but that was it. Machine Gun Kelly was great and his friendship with Pete Davidson is so pure but John Krasinski wasn't even allowed to be the star in his own skits. I hope they give him more to work with if he ever comes back.
