All songs (except Bette Midler's one) were recorded in a professional studio by the very artists you see on screen doing the playbacks. For some artists, it was the first time performing in a recording studio. At the end of the second shooting day, the result was so good that an assistant asked who were the singers of the songs used for the playbacks. That is why it felt useful to add a warning at the beginning of the show.
