Rainbow Prince

It's a nice attempt but just that, an attempt. This is a Disneyish BL series with the singing included and instead of lonely mice, lovely drag queens. There were good things like the sets and scenery, but almost everything else was below the decent quality line. Some actors were really bad, the plot was almost non existant, the editing was terrible. And most of all, all the characters seemed to be high on MDMA smiling constantly. I thought it crossed the red line for me when we see the prince strolling his little dog around in a baby pushchair!! Good idea, but way too much sugar with little else.

Rainbow Prince is one of those BL series I wanted to dislike... but embarrassingly, I just couldn't. As much as some scenes made me go, "What is even happening right now?" I still found myself enjoying it way more than I expected. Yes, some parts are totally nonsense (LOL), but that's kind of the charm, right?

If you're looking for a funny, feel-good BL series that doesn't take itself too seriously, this might just be your thing. It's definitely not one of those super deep or emotionally intense shows, but that's exactly what makes it perfect when you just want to chill and laugh.

What really stood out to me was the musical aspect of the show. It's pretty rare to see a BL series mix in musical numbers, and I actually really enjoyed that part, it added a unique and whimsical vibe.

Story-wise? Okay, not the strongest. But what it lacks in plot, it makes up for in visuals and production quality. The cinematography is actually impressive, the colors are vibrant, everything looks super polished, and it clearly had some effort behind the scenes.

And let's talk about the leads, the chemistry is on point! Even with all the silliness, their connection felt real and made the show more enjoyable to watch.

So yeah, Rainbow Prince isn't perfect, but it's absolutely hilarious and surprisingly entertaining. If you're in the mood for something light, weirdly charming, and totally extra, give it a shot. I won't judge because I already watched the whole thing. 😆

Although the story is not well developed, the cute actors and the well-done scenes are fully attractive and you will not feel boring. The musics and duets are fascinating and commendable. The adorable male leads are another profound aspect of the series.
