    Not Good Enough

Korean Drama Oh My Ladylord had a great cast, some strong family plotlines, some sweet, romantic moments, but a bad story.

The pace was off, with some badly edited scenes and a few questionary camera angles. The twists were also old, especially those towards the ending, and they were not entertaining. The focus on the love triangle, also, was a false move. It was itself forced and it messed things up a lot and unnecessarily. The bromance that they tried to enforce was boring as well. Not to mention the side couples that tried too hard to be funny, but failing every time. As for the worst moment of the drama, that would be the ending. The fantasy element was bad right from the start, was never properly explained, was often forgotten, did not fit the main mood of the drama and, in the end, ruined the ending.

However, there were some good things that helped a bit. The family drama was good and the mothers' relationships with their children were just so warm and sweet and all the actors and actresses did a great job with them. The performances overall were enjoyable and top-notch but the script did not help them at all. The main couple, in addition, had chemistry and were good together.

So, overall, four out of ten. The first episodes were nice, and there were some parts of this drama that were good, but the rest was just not good enough.

    Stupidity ensues.

This drama started off well, but kinda lost interest by episode 6. The female lead is supposed to be this kind, helpful, thoughtful actress while the male lead is an eccentric writer who is a bit narcissistic.

By episode 7, by the magic of God knows what, the female lead suddenly can't decide between the two guys who've confessed to her and instead chooses to play the field, saying she likes them both. That's a complete 180 from her behavior. Also, the male lead is portrayed as a clingy, jealous baby. It's like both the leads drank a magic potion of stupid provided by the writer. The male lead instead of spending precious moments with his dying mother, instead decides to run around the female lead trying to get his attention. All the character development until ep 5-6 goes out the window, along with the storyline and quite possibly the interest of the viewers with episode 7. The drama crew probably wanted to start a love triangle between Joo-in, Bi-soo and whatshisname (who surprisingly has just one expression on his face because apparently his script described his character to act goofy at all times) but this drama should know when not to kdrama. So, they used the love triangle plot. What's next? Bi-soo is going to die(the angel guy said he just extended Bi-soo's lifespan by a short while) so he meets an accident. Then we'll have the female lead finding out about it and rushing to be on his side, realizing she loved him all along. He survives but loses his memory and she tries to win his heart again (because kdrama has to kdrama).

    Shameless

This is a classic example of what I like to call a waste of carbon emission. It's impressive how a drama can fail on every metric there is and still get to finish its full run. It's fundamentally dysfunctional even if we were to disregard the epilogue. Yikes! On another note, Nana needs to figure out how to turn on her facial muscles appropriately with the scene. Nana and Lee Min-ki are fantastic.

This kdrama hits many of the familiar tropes, but nails them with such accuracy and charm that viewers will be willing to forgive the familiarity. Lee Min-ki and Nana are both excellent in this type of rom-com, and they exhibit great chemistry. The side characters are all well drawn and have nice story arcs too. The first few episodes are light and fresh... but the show teases hidden depths to come. This is a great drama for those experienced with the kdrama aesthetic... or for those who want a perfect introduction. With this... and last year's fantastic "Into the Ring", Nana is quickly becoming the go-to-actress for this type of role -- the strong independent woman with a heart of gold.

    Not worth to watch

The story is actually quite good, and the acting of the main role actress is impressive.

Beginning episodes were good, but after watching episode 6 and above, this drama was starting to be strange and hate to watched.

I stopped watch this drama after episode 12, because the both main characters were already being non-logical and inacceptable any more.

The main actor's character turned to be a kind of garbage & meanful man. The writer suddenly made the man's character to be so mean to the woman's character.

Never has a man, who deeply loves a woman, could be so mean to the woman's heart and hurt her heart so deep even the woman did nothing harm to him.

In other drama, the actor's character is made to be a gentle heart man, so the viewer could enjoy the romantic atmosphere in the story.

Does the writer of this drama know? That in the real life, when a man loves a woman, he would never hurt the woman's heart by any reason, even when the man is dying. So, please learn from the fact in the real world life before you write a story about romance. It's just very ridiculous to make all the main's character to be such annoying person.

In the end of this story, are the writer gonna make spectacular change? The actor doesn't die, and they will get marriage happily after all what happened between them in this story?? You think this is a cartoon drama?
