The boat they lived on was called the Ragdoll.
A former antiques shop on Chapel Street in Stratford-upon-Avon was purchased by Ragdoll Productions in 1992, with the shop selling tie-in merchandise from Ragdoll and having play areas for children. The upper floor became offices for production staff for Ragdoll, but the success proved to be the downfall, as there was no room for expansion and attempts to find new premises failed. The shop closed in 2005 and is now an opticians.
The Ragdoll boat went through three owners during the course of the series. Series 1 and 2 were presented by Postman Pat author John Cunliffe, Series 3 and 4 by children's author and illustrator Pat Hutchins, and Series 5-8 by bass guitarist Neil Brewer.
The characters went on a live UK tour in 2000, with musician Neil Brewer the only presenter accompanying the tour.
