The real question I have is who is Hecklefish?
Because they're hilarious and I love it. I'd like to know who voices the characters and how you come up with your topics.
I love to watch the shows and then pick the ones my kids will enjoy and watch them again, my sons mind was blown on the hollow moon one, and he asked me to make him a tin foil hat.
Which I of course make for the two of us, but you should sell some on the website, some authentic WF Foil Hats!
Keep it up, everyone involved in the show, it is fun, and I've learned a lot and I can't wait for a new episode to come out week to week!

Fascinating and hilarious! Mr. Gentile is obviously well-educated/read, can pronounce multisyllabic and proper words/names properly, has a breadth of interests, and Hecklefish makes me laugh harder than I have since COVID made life so depressing. There is a lot to be learned from every episode. I hope many more will discover this educational and engaging corner of YouTube.
I love this show, and what it does. The episodes are very well done and informative. Andrew and heckle fish are great together and keeps everything funny but yet filled with information. This show should be on Discovery or the history channel or Nat Geo. The topics of these show cover everything from time travel to underground cities and aliens. He takes all the information of the story and lays it out so at the end they can either debunk stuff or not or just leave it open for your interpretation. They have fun while they inform us and these stories. Heckler fish is the comic relief that makes the show so much fun.

I also came across the Why Files on You Tube and found the presenter very earnest, likeable and balanced in his presentation. After intriguing and scaring the bejesus out of me, eg the predicted pole shift, he then gives me the other side of the story which reassures me. It is very rare these days to come across a presenter or programme that gives you both sides of the story in an unbiased manner after clearly doing lots of research but doesn't then try to steer you into thinking one way or the other on a subject. The media could learn a lot from this guy about presenting information impartially and allowing their audience decide for themselves. Well done AJ.
I stumbled across the why files on YouTube one day and was hooked,as a UK fan it's interesting to learn about US paranormal events and they cover events around the world, AJ dry and non patronising interest in the topics from UFOs to timeslips, and what can you say about haeckelfish a tin foil hat wearing guppy obsessed with lizard people and then more Lizard people and a deep mistrust of the press and the media , together they make a great double act sometimes it's hard to work out who is the the straight guy and who the fall guy (or fish) .I would recommend this YouTube channel that never lets you down.

AJ ... Bravo good sir. You or your team do a lot of research into the subjects you cover. Thank You.
Hecklefish ... Keep up the good fight.
Ok. I enjoyed the episodes I've watched so far. Very well delivered stories keep you listening for more information. The interaction between AJ & Hecklefish is entertaining too. AJ being the straight man and skeptical storyteller and Hecklefish being the true believer theorist type.
So .. the videos kept me engaged and entertained. So that is great indeed. Sometimes I just want more and more information though.
Moon Landing ??
Hollow Moon ??
Mel's Bottomless Pit ??
More stories please.

I absolutely Love this channel. Absolutely my fave. AJ and Hecklefish are the best. Very well done, the entire team is A+++++. Every show is entertaining, professional, high-quality, well researched, nicely edited and thoroughly enjoyable. TWF is undeniably, seriously quality content. The whole family looks forward to every single episode and premiere drop. The after files are entertaining, informative and a whole Lotta fun. The Why Files get my entire Thursday evening and are the highlight of my week. Their merch is fantastic and yes, I have my hecklefish mug! All in all the very best channel out there.

I very recently discovered this YouTube show while looking for something easy to pass a little time and now I'm hooked.
AJ has a gift for story telling which keeps you engaged and entertained while he presents the various myths, legends, conspiracies etc. The well placed humour keeps each episode light and fun, even when talking about quite dark subject matter. AJ then debunks or rationalises each story with respect and in such a way that the viewer feels like they've learned something without ever feeling silly and without defaming anyone's character.
The production itself is great, it creates that sense of having someone in the room with you and talking with you but at the same time, feels like something that wouldn't be out of place on mainstream TV with a great musical score and good use of video and photo evidence.
An absolute must see for anyone enthusiastic about UFOs, aliens, the paranormal or conspiracy theories.

Definitely one of the must see channel for those interested on something beyond..one of the best researchers ive come across maintaining the lines of facts and fiction between the line..also a good combo of presenter with humour added with a pinch of sarcasm..definitely worth our spent time (considering that is the most valueble assets owned by an individual yesterday, today or tomorow - or is that really so?? Perhaps the answer lies out there within the channel😊) lol..anyways its all about perceptions ryt and as per mine guess its all worth it😁😁
though i too wonder..who r you Mr. Moriarity??🤔😏

I've been a fan since the first episode I seen! I love how AJ presents his stories. He's great! Stays on point & has a fair check & balance on his content. Informative & fun! He talks about such fun & interesting things. Aliens, conspiracies, faith & mythologies. History, philosophy & even stinky planets. He covers it all. I love his perspectives & looking at stories I knew in a different light. And learning stories I never even knew about! And I just love heckle fish! Hims so handsome!! Thank you AJ for your show & all the work I know goes into it. I'm looking forward to many many more years of amazing content.
Fantastic informative show with a truly inciteful view on unexplained events. I enjoy how not one side of an opinion is taken with vivid explination as to each point of view of believer or skeptic. I however must admit I can do with less of the fish interaction. Much less. Beyond that, there is nothing I could say to deter anyone with interest in the paranormal or unexplained to watch this show. It is, as I've typed, both informative and purely fact based in its break down on the events or theories shown, the maker clearly has done research to provide the viewer with the best experience to make their own conclusions on the events in question.

Unfortunately, this show has taken a more political route, AJ seems to do a lot more preaching about how awful the government is and how everything they tell you is a lie. The format is the same as the earlier episodes and the debunking is still there but poorly researched. AJ has stated that if he can't debunk it he probably believes it and that shines through. He also doesn't like critical comments, if you debunk something he's said or point out issues with the content he will shadow-ban you, this means that only you and he can see your comment.
As long as you remember this is just for entertainment and almost every story is utter nonsense then you won't go far wrong, sadly reading the filtered comments on his channel reveals that most of the people commenting are incredibly susceptible and will believe almost anything they are told as long as it's anti-government, anti-MSM.
I still enjoy it but gone are the days of the greats like Mel's hole.
Previous Review which had a 10/10 score 15th Sept 2022
With a mix of science, comedy, and interesting content The Why files is a must watch. AJ's presentation is flawless, his acting is great with the hilarious Heckle Fish. As a scientist I watched a few episodes expecting the usual nonsense but AJ debunks as well as he can and this is very refreshing, it still leaves an interesting story with perhaps the odd unexplained seed at its core. I particularly liked the time travel and parallel dimensions such as the Backrooms episode, the Vatican's secret time machine is also great, all fully debunked, it was fascinating to see how some of these stories originate.
AJ certainly does a lot of research into his stories, I wonder if he has a large team of researchers or if Heckle Fish does most of the work! I'm off to make myself a tin foil hat and watch more Why Files.
Highly recommended.

The Why Files should be an actual TV show as well as the YouTube show! Very informative and interesting and well researched!!! AJ and Hecklefish deliver the material in an informative and detailed, not to mention entertaining way! Even the debunking!! Definitely recommend this show to everyone! The material they cover is suitable for every interest, and everything I've watched from them, suitable for all viewers! You get both sides of each topic that is discussed and it's presented in a way that is super engaging and informative. You're also encouraged to have your own opinion and to think for yourself!

As a Veteran, trying my best to deal with depression of losing my wife and my son in the last ten years, this show really brought me up and makes me feel like living again.
I have begun to date again and begin to feel more like myself again.
My first experience with the Why files was the episode about "Top 10 Terrifying Animals That Actually Exist" it was well produced and very well written. I have gone back to watch the earlier vids and they are very nice too, but you always remember your first.
Being on survivor's benefits; I cannot afford the major streaming packages, and Andrew makes sure to keep the cost of supporting this channel down so even I can afford to.
Keep doing the job you are doing, we all love you and wish all Podcasts were as honest and family(Wife, brother, and good support crew) oriented as this one is.
Long live Hecklefish!

Honestly one of the best story tellers I've found. On top of that his chosen subject matter is decidedly unique and attention grabbing. I couldn't recommend anything more emphatically. I will say that the character hecklefish isn't my favorite, however I admit that including that statement in my review is only an attempt at tempering my enthusiasm for the why files. My reasoning for why I dislike hecklefish hinges completely on an obvious trait implied by his name. As with most hecklers, hecklefish interrupts the main commentary, Aj. I find the break in the story, and the timing of such to be a little abrasive and the jokes or whatever you would call the reasoning behind the interruption to very often be unfunny, unnecessary, and almost unquestionably immature.

Does a good job with searching and presenting the information . I recommend this to anyone who likes conspiracies and the unusual and unexplained .
Watching episode in crop circles and cia .
The humour is ok with the heckle fish with a tin foil hat on top of its fish bowel . ( heckle fish is hosts pet gold fish ) .
I think everyone should give this show a watch it is right up there with many of the top shows on a&e or history channel .
I watch this and can am missing project on YouTube and many other shows .
The fact this is on YouTube is great since I gave up cab years ago .
Go ahead give it a watch .

The Why Files is our favorite show. My husband and I have been watching the Why Files for over a year and we look forward to seeing every episode.
AJ is great at telling the stories and Hecklefish is a great sidekick. The show has thought provoking topics along with being funny, interesting, educational and entertaining we love them. We became patrons this year (we never did this before) this utube channel is positively something special. You should give the channel a try The perks of being a patron are excellent. The merchandise is very good quality and the prices are not excessive. All in all a awesome show.

I happen to run into pod on Tubi. It's right up my alley. I find it interesting, learning as well. I hope it continues. Your take and straight forward commentary is refreshing. Your willingness to admit when your not sure about topic is different. In today's world everyone is bias and refuse too admit anything that isn't mainstream. Such a great mix of topics. Haunting, Ghost, Aliens, weird facts and fiction, debunking, cryptic, History. Big tv has done similar things in the past. There quite boring. You only get mainstream or popular topics. I would definitely recommend this series-pod to anyone that these topics interest you. SINCERELY HECKLE FISH.

It's a good go-to when I have 10-20 minutes to kill or want to take my mind off of something. Hecklefish Moriarty is the best (I'm assuming is also Andrew Gentile?) and adds a fun breakaway from the straight facts. (His Treble could be toned down though, as it can be piercing at times.) Jennifer Costa and Gino work great with Andrew in the production of this show. I imagine it was a product of Corona free-time (dates)? And my friends and I all keep up to date on the latest episodes as we've seen them all. I recommend this show to friends and family who like to dig into topics without taking too deep of a dive (only one bowl depth), and laugh a little while they're at it. Keep it up WF?s!

This is a great show. It takes deep dives into interesting topics ranging from UFOs, Aliens, Conspiracies, Cryptids, Time Travel and more. The show presents new and well-known stories regarding these topics in a respectful way...while injecting necessary humor and skepticism where it may apply...
The hosts are funny and have an interesting dynamic. They play off of each other to great effect. There are some great running jokes...yet the show still manages to bring seriousness to the topics. The main host seriously /deftly guides us through the stories while the co-host brings the humor (where it is appropriate). It is a very effective format. A must watch for anyone interested in these topics...or interested in debunking these topics.
This is one of the better shows on YouTube. And I can easily see it stretching out to a steaming platform... Or to cable television.

I gave this a peek for 2 episodes and probably won't continue. The fish is extremely annoying, for one thing. But while the stories are interesting, the host just uses modern search results to reach conclusions - meaning he is holding out popular opinion as factual results. For instance, he claims the first mention of Big Foot was in 1924 and was proven to be a hoax by park rangers. That is actually not a true story but was made up in the 1980s to disuade people from going on Mt Shasta as they had a number of thrill seekers get lost or injured in the attempt and were tired of spending resources on the Big foot enthusiasts. I'm not a believer nor disbeliever but I know the origin of that story.
The cell phone from the woman leaving NASA is easily researched - she was holding the microphone and the larger piece with the battery was in a shoulder bag.
The show isn't bad for amateur work but I dislike shows that try to explain phenomenon as simple hoaxes.
The high star reviews here are obviously solicited by the channel because even very well-known and truly popular shows like Dr G and Unsolved Mysteries only have a few reviews.

After recently finding on YouTube, was happy to be late to the party having many episodes to watch.
AJ is great at the introduction, background, the breakdown of the content, objectivley exploring related data and respectfully presenting plausible and reasonable conclusion for events other than the belief, or an account being discussed.
Episodes are lighthearted, well placed, and imaginative, even sponsors messages are seemless and frequently funny. Hecklefish is an amusing counter balance to AJ, if sections get serious, are discussing sensitive topics, or just walk into it. Hecklefish fish is there cracking jokes.
You can switch off, while exploring an interesting topic, and learn something.
Highly recommended.

Though this channel seems to offer a balanced point of view on the topics it covers, in actuality they do the bare minimum amount of research into the topic and focus mostly on debunking it. A perfect example of this is the episode about the face on Mars. A man named Mike Bara writes for the why files and Bara has co authored a book with Richard Hoagland (godfather of the face on Mars and long time Coast to Coast guest). What better person to have comment on the topic?. But the why files dodnt even bother though Hoagland was just a phone call away. They're only after clicks, not truth. The channel seems fun at first glance but the information they present is biased by their need to debunk any given topic at the end of the video.

The show was sort of interesting until the ridiculous animated talking gold fish chimed in. It's like some silly idea that would be foisted upon unsuspecting junior high school kids. If your audience is adult why put a sarcastic fish in the mix? The host is alright and he held my attention but the fish forced me to watch something else, anything else. The subject matter in Season three was thought provoking and scary enough. If I was an AT&T cell phone user, I would rethink my decision. However, Google, Facebook, and all social media platforms most likely report to the government. Scary times we are living in for sure. This show should lose the ridiculous animated opinionated gold fish though.
