A period drama that is topped with an exemplary production details and a befitting cinematography. A story that pulls on your heartstrings. Convincing performances but somewhat cursory story-development. However, its music simply outshines and steals the show. It makes up for the rest. The folk songs recreate the era, define the characters and make the audience reminisce and relish the rich musical traditions of Punjab. The story is kind of a reminder of the Kaur sisters (Surinder and Prakash), the famous folk singers of Punjab during the post-independence era. Magical, soulful music is The essence of the movie and it makes the movie-watching an unforgettable experience. Fantastic job by Noor Chahal, Jyotica Tangri, Sanj V, Jaidev Kumar and the rest of the team for delivering such a melodious music. An excellent watch.

Movie with lots of heart warming songs but with a average storyline and left the acting remains fantabulous. This movie could be better if the story writer and director puts vision into the story line because the movie length is 1hr 59mins including credits in which 8 songs taking place inside the movie songs are upto the mark but story should also be considered with some extra twists nd turns so that it might become interesting.......honestly saying this seems to be the movie less music album more......Rating 6/10 5 stars for songs nd 1 star for Ammy Tanya that little bit chemistry thts all👍

A beautiful arthouse cinematic experience that delivers a slice of history from punjab and the barriers that had to be crossed for women to be allowed a freedom of expression. This is to Indian music what rhw suffragettes were to the female vote! Hats off!.

Star studded cast from days gone by and a modern era of acting. A musical like no other. This traverses modernism in punjab and historic relevance.

Music 10⭐ Cast 8⭐(special applause for Taina movie by movie she is definitely evolving. Remember so many movies where she bearly watchable but in this great work but still sometime her voice feel childish or made up if we campare with leading actresses.) Story 5⭐ music was really good after a long time i heard pure generic treat with traditional flavours. Acting wise all done great as I don't have much expectations from many but guggu Gill and other legends done justice with role one person disappointed was ammy as well as story and character development was too poor great concept poor execution.

Still I feel movie was good not bad at all. One two time watchable because of music but many rate less than 5 was too bad. Movie deserve better specially music and feel.

After long time, watched a movie with soulful music with good acting and social content... The only thing which can go towards the negatives is Limited Screen presence of Ammy Virk... But the Real Hero of the movie is it's Star Ladies and Music.
