I like the way they explored the dynamic of Amy and Peralta's relationship but it could've gone better. Holt and Rosa wasn't horrible but like, why. Very average episode.
Jake has the opportunity to catch a serial killer but Amy has a presentation to do. That was ridiculous. The other things in the episode were pretty decent though. Holt not over his breakup is a good subplot.
I don't know what has happened to the writing here. I think making Jake and Amy parents was not great writing but what makes it worse is bringing the child into episode as a hurdle all the time. No one cares to see Amy and Jake as parents and worse be dragged down by their child. We know it's all not real and not necessary. We grew fond of the quirky characters and comedy in the precinct, this made the show great. We couldn't care less and don't need to see Jake and Amy pretending to be parents. We know what being an adult looks like so screen time does not need to be wasted on this futile story. I wonder if the writers went on a strike. Otherwise this is lazy writing. Even the jokes were not great between Amy and Jake. A weak and disappointing episode.
The starting episode of this season was a disaster. That felt like something forced. It felt like it was designed to fulfill political as well as communal agendas. Thank god they moved away from that. Now they landed this episode 4, which is to me one of the funniest and one of the best episodes of B99. This episode reminded me why I started to love B99 in the first place. I will definitely miss this comedy masterpiece once its over.
This episode made me think. I loved it, but it's so different from the show I loved. Writers, pls stop being so political. It's getting kinda boring. Overall, I really liked the Jake and Amy storyline. It was very funny. The Rosa one was also good. But guys, I may have rated this 10 because I lirkd the episode but if the next episdode is like this, where Doug judy returns, I may rate it 5.

- TriviaWhen Captain Holt promises Rosa that he wouldn't talk about Kevin anymore, he clearly has his fingers crossed.
- GoofsThe nanny applicant who describes himself as "a bit of a Mary Poppins" affects an English accent and sings a song about slapping Mac's "fanny." In the UK, "fanny" is slang for vagina, not the buttocks as it is in America. Not only would that be grossly inappropriate, but Mac is a boy.
However, he is not really British and it's plausible he wouldn't know about the slang. Just as his understanding of Mary Poppins misses that her style doesn't include assaulting or threatening to assault children.

Raymond Holt: At 3:30 am this morning I seem to have sent Kevin a digital phallus portrait.
Rosa Diaz: A digital phallus portrait, what's that? Oh no! You sent him a d**k pic.
