Wow. Helen Mirrin

Not sure if I like this episode because it was so exquisitely acted or because it was Helen Mirrin.

Kept me watching...

But I switched off a few times. Helen Mirren is great as always and there's something here that many will relate to. It just didn't keep me interested enough. Also why do people keep going on about farting in this show. Was the creator like we HAVE to mention farting lol.

Writing and Helen Mirrin -- Exquisite!

All there was was a moving camera and Helen Mirrin sitting in a chair in a space capsule the whole time, and every instant was compelling. Brilliantly written, directed, and acted! I didn't recognize Dan Steven's voice as TYM at all. I happen to be 70, and the story telling, especially as a follow up to "Tom" was great, including the things we face as elders. There's a depth to these Solos that's rich and real.

The 75 Year Old Helen Mirren

A fanciful hybrid of an Alan Bennett monologue and '2001' with Helen Mirren supposedly playing an 'ordinary' woman in her seventies fired into space. But with her hair swept back in a majestic Garboesque mane, decked out in a "fancy pants spacesuit", her magnificent profile to the camera, Dame Helen could never be taken for 'ordinary'.
