Catfished 3

An example of a gimmick gone awry, this third and rather strained episode of Jacky St. James' Sweet Sinner series about internet-based deceptive dating is lousy. For the series to remain viable she'll have to come up with some new ideas.

A beautiful newcomer Aila Donovan, whose low voice and angular features had me wondering if she was a trans-female actress (I was wrong) has her visage being commonly appropriated by folks using internet dating/meet-up websites in what has become known as the act of catfishing.

The four vignettes presented here revolve around this gimmick, but Jacky's writing is peculiarly lame this time out. Typically poor is a bar scene where the person doesn't show up at all, and the person ends up getting picked up randomly -hardly catfishing.

No surprise that the real Donovan gets to have sex with some guy. Cast overall is subpar, with Jacky writing in a large role for herself and two roles for her production manager Shawn Alff.
