Such a creative show. There's so much emotions good and bad and a whole lot of laughs with some surprising twists and turns in each episode. I loved all the actors and the main lead was just one of those characters that was played so went it was hard not to get attached to. A touchy plot but it really grows on you with nothing dramatic or over the top scenes. One of my favorite series this year so far for sure. Hope this gets the attention it rightfully deserves and we get to see more of this show. I'm giving this a 9 because of how well it was made and produced. Congrats to the director and everyone involved in make this a successful show.
I happened upon this edgy family comedy series Daddy's Divas while visiting a friends family and was so charmed by it. I say edgy because so many of todays family friendly TV shows do not touch upon life's difficult situations such as losing a parent. The episodes are about twenty minutes long and full of crazy zany characters and lots of family dysfunction and sometimes dark subjects. Don't be confused however, this is a family comedy obviously written by writers that are parents themselves. The realistic writing along with a cast of actors that are not afraid to perform like embarrassingly bad actors are what make this so funny and delightful to watch. I give two thumbs up to the writers and actors!
Within the first few episodes it becomes clear that this show has a dark sense of humor. Case in point, very early on we have a funeral scene were a young mother lays in a casket as her husband, young children, newborn baby, and other family look on. Don't let this get you down. Within a few minutes we're laughing at a sobbing priest and an embarrassingly bad musical tribute. This show doesn't shrink away at sadness, it flips it over like a messy flapjack and serves it up with whipped cream. These writers know what it's like to have young kids and a wild family life, and they know all we can do is put on a smile and look at the bright side.
Cinematography, acting, music are all fantastic. The lead actor has a lot of charisma. His character is in a tough spot in his life and he's very quickly easy to root for. The kids are also great, it never feels like they are disney channel over-acting.
Don't miss Daddy's Divas.

This upbeat, family friendly comedy series has a little something for everyone: adorably rambunctious kids, middle-aged bikers, a goofy nerdish couple, neurotic priests, lonely elementary school teachers and Michael (David TIttone) a personal trainer, left to raise his 3 daughters on his own after the unexpected death of his wife. Although with Michael's personal grief it could take a more somber turn, this series is firmly focused on comedy and fun and delivers it in abundance. This is a portrait of an idealized, innocent small town community: an Andy Griffith show for the internet age. Shot in cheerful primary colors and doubling down on the cuteness factor every chance it gets, it's a fun escapist journey to an America we wish existed.
This show is very unique and different and something that you wouldn't expect to be family friendly. Christie Courville was so funny and she was my favorite cast member by far. The first episode really had me hooked and the characters really grow on you as we watched each one we had to see all the other episodes. Superb plot which was edited perfectly with little to no errors or anything major that would make us assume it was not a big budget production. Daddy Divas is one of those fun, family shows we all need to watch. Good acting, lovely comedy and just a feel good ambience to this show. Seriously well done.
