Storyline
Featured review
The ASW center has located an unident. Therefore, an ORE exercise is ordered.
We're talking about submarine warfare, and means of finding and fighting it in critical waters. But the language used to describe what's going on is so full of jargon, so rife with long strings of letters and nonce words, that they lack all juice, and leave the images a dull husk. It's a story that tells the audience how important the subject is, but does so in language that makes it all seem an exercise in meaningless jabberwocky. We're given numbers and ranges and expected to cheer operational coordination. Somehow, I can't.
