This is the third television series in the "Time Bokan" franchise, following the original "Time Bokan" (1975-1976) and "Yatterman" (1977-1979). Each series follows the conflict between young heroes and a trio of comedic villains, consisting of a femme fatale leader and her duo of male assistants. Most of the series in the franchise have a time-travel theme.
