Monday, August 3. The Corona crisis has forced the country's theaters to remain closed since March. On one of the city's stages, a new big revue is being prepared for the autumn. But no one knows if the theater will even be able to open.
Monday 10 August. The government insists on an audience of a max 50 people. And Ulveson, via his agent has demanded that the ensemble have to test for covid-19.
Friday 21 August. Theater Sweden stands still. An autumn premiere seems increasingly unlikely. The government has announced a press conference with Culture Minister Amanda Lind.
Monday, August 24. The government has proposed more exceptions to audience restrictions. So the hole cultural community of Sweden is waiting for the Public Health Authority's response.
Thursday 27 August. The Public Health Authority's referral response has arrived. This means that the theater may be able to open in October. But only with half the budgeted audience. So the actors have to cut their salaries by half.
Wednesday, September 16. Today, the revue will be played for a test audience of 50 people. The actors have stage fever. And Henrik has fallen ill. Micke has to go to his house to try to convince him to perform despite his symptoms
The government promised an increase to 300 in the audience, but the day before the revue premiere, the Public Health Agency tightens its recommendations. The show is canceled immediately.
The theater is closed and the revue is on hold. The hope is to be able to open again in a few weeks. But now the government has just announced a new restriction of a maximum of eight participants at public gatherings.
The theater is still closed. No clarification regarding the spread of infection or restrictions can be seen. In the theater, only digital meetings apply. Johan Ulveson starts selling erotic cam shows in desperation.
After the failed attempt to attract patrons, bankruptcy is extremely close. Today, everyone comes together to make one last failed effort - a combined flea market and lucia train - to save the theater. But maybe there is another way out?
