The Dalton Gang

Wild West Chronicles brings a docudrama style to western stories. All framed by Bat Masterson, lawman turned journalist.

Emmett Dalton attracts the attention of Bat Masterson, the only survivor of the Dalton Gang. Emmett was shot 23 times and still survived.

Emmett tells Bat that he and his three brothers worked for the refight side of the law as deputies.

When older brother Frank Dalton was killed in the line of duty. It turns out that the paperwork never got through and they never got paid for their law enforcement work.

Bitter the Dalton brothers turned to a life of crime instead. Trouble came when in 1892, when they attempted to rob two banks on the same day in their hometown.

Everything went wrong and the sheriff and his posse were waiting for the brothers as they left the bank. Both Emmett's brothers were killed and he was left seriously wounded. Later serving 14 years in jail.

As a drama is is all very perfunctory. The low budget is evident and an emphasis on good and bad, which is more to do with the socially conservative televangelist roots of the show's network.
