Storyline is a bit hard to watch. Child abuse in both families with people (supposedly caring) just standing by allowing it to happen. Story draws one in and you wish Nalan to get angry just a little. She seriously needs help breaking free from everyone abusing & manipulating her. The affect the abuse of her grandmother has had on Nalan reverberates throughout her adult life, so much so that she cannot see who else is having the same affect on her. She later becomes a pathetic person, clinging to her abuser, who she gave up everything for. Or maybe it's the realisation that she has given up everything for someone who was not worthy at all.
This series, loosely based on true events, is actually very good. Portraying the affect abuse has on a person, and how difficult it is to break free and see things for what they really are. I shouldn't give bad ratings because I 'm so frustrated and angry with the characters. All the actors are excellent.
People you once loved, you later hate and vice versa. You want to stop watching but you just can't. One hopes that there will be a happy ending for Nalan...with healing in the end.

Although a lot of the creativity of the images could use some value-add, I give high rating for the storyline and for the acting. The psychologist contributes a great aspect to this dark drama. Especially characters of Selena and Feride are excellent, Oscar worthy (or Turkish equivalent).
This is one of the best of the best that I have watched among Turkish dramas.
It starts off (and continues) to be a bit slow. However, this is actually instrumental in captivating the watcher and making him/her almost become part of the show itself... as if you are living with them and among them.
The acting is absolutely top notch. Almost every single character is worth an Oscar, maybe even two.
The story may sometimes get to be a little bit unbelievable but if you can accept some degree of fiction, you will be hooked, just like I have been and still am.
I almost forgot... The music is also absolutely fantastic, haunting at times.

From the beginning of the series you are directly attached to the psychopathic characters of Nylan mother, Jana. But surer ( Faride) is great actress. Worth watching dark drama.
This series is supposed to be based on a novel that is based in real life story but the depiction in the series has gone to the extreme.
The probability that all the scenes in this series happening in real life is very slim.
Too unbelievable for grown up adults to be treated as little kids.
Too unbelievable for grown ups to be watched my parents or grand parents in all their daily steps and actions.
Too unbelievable for a grand parent to be listening all the time with her ear on the door of a married couple to make sure they are love-making, and getting inside their room almost all the time to zero privacy.
Too unbelievable that the old lady is forcefully commanding everyone around her even those unrelated to her. What is she? That powerful? One hand blow and she'll die.
This series has too much immorality and impossibilities.
The family are trying to portray a clean reputation but in reality there are too much corruption, dishonesty, perversion and indecency.
Up to episode 58, it's ok, not good but ok. Past that, it's repetitive and unbearable to watch.
It's like Addams Family on drama.
