I may have a bad taste but it feels different to watch journeys as it is different from many of the pokemon series where ash gets gym badges and challenges the league. And I don't see a reason to hate on Goh just because he is the one catching every pokemon, plus catching every pokemon is fun just as being a pokemon master is. With that Goh is a unique protagonist because his goal is as big as Ash. In one episode, Ash and Goh will be in Jhoto region, and next episode they will be in Kalos region, A very unique concept. One of the best pokemon series. Never got bored of watching this truly masterpiece series.
New pokemon season is very bad. In this season 2nd protagonist Goh is a lame character. I never hated any pokemon character than him. He is catching all the pokemon without any struggle. Then what we see in the previous season is nothing at all.
I'm just watching this series cause Ash is there. Otherwise I didn't watch this season. Without Ash the season is a trash. All will agree with me.

New and different but not bad in any way it's a unique season and really enjoyable for long time anime and game fans.
First off, let's get the negatives out of the way - ash seems really dumb; Goh catches Pokémon with no battling required.
Right now for the brief review....take it at face value. It is Pokémon and for kids and it is enjoyable. We see so many new & different locations, as well as meeting some fun and likeable characters along the way. Great to see all tue Pokémon that feature - both old and new creatures.
Forget the haters and give it a go. At 20mins an episode you won't regret it. It sets the scene nicely for follow on masters series and helps add bit of context to later films.
I grew up with Pokémon blue and red, but I am really enjoying the new stuff. The battles are exciting and let's not forget the ever faithful Pikachu! An excellent travel companion for Ash.

The first 3 episodes were great overall, but episode 4 takes a turn and ultimately becomes a giant ad to get more people to play Pokémon GO. If they focused more on plot and character development, along with staying consistent with some of the previously set rules in the Pokémon world (i.e. Battling wild Pokémon before being able to catch them), it would be rated it much higher.
