Marriage or Mortgage

The premise of the show deciding between a mortgage or a marriage is a dilemma that many people face today. Homes are very expensive and social media has twisted what a wedding consists of nowadays with everyone trying to top each other. While I enjoyed learning about the couples and seeing what money could get you in Tn, the show just didn't make sense. Why are the hosts competing with each other? What is the purpose? What do they get out of it? They don't seem like they're doing it out of their own good will based on the tactics they use to "win"

It is quite jarring to watch the two salespeople turn past trauma against their clients and make them cry to get their way. The whole premise of you have to choose between future investment or a day of fun is sickening to start with. But I just couldn't wrap my head around when they used dead parents or infertility issues for a quick moment.

Just like every other show that's like this, these "docu-series" are scripted, so nothing new there. This is fun and yes we all universally have to decide to either have the wedding of our dreams or buy a house, this show takes us on that journey and how it plays out for others.

Marriage or Mortgage is a show about two white women with terrible taste. Sara and Nichole team up to emotionally manipulate young couples that are moving to/around Nashville, TN. Sarah, the wedding planner, is competent and creates genuinely cool weddings, at least most of the time. Nichole is a realtor with unknown competency levels. Most of the houses she shows seem like she picked the first 3 ads on google when you search 'houses for sale.' All of them are model homes with little to no character. I wouldn't be surprised if she was the developer of these properties just to sell them on the show. Some of these couples are looking for their forever home, and Nichole thought it was a good idea to put them with an HOA???? At one point she basically told a couple that they were too needy and she gave up. But the real kicker of the show is the couples that actually choose to have a wedding over buying a home. While in this case it's fair because of how terrible the homes are compared to the wedding, it's just a terrible financial decision. Why not just get married and have a wedding later. But at the end of the day I enjoyed the show, it's terrible, but it's got potential.

Why would u choose a party for one day over roof on top of ur house for about 10 years why????? 25K in one day for people to party?? Really??? I feel like shaking these people. Wedding dress is worn once once,. How many.marriages end up in divorce?????
