Such an amazing movie... It's more like an art film... Really enjoyed each and every shot... Such beautifully executed...
Such a nice story telling with just 4 people, the build up was so great that each and every moment there were some other possibilities.... One night and only one person is onscreen for the majority of running time but it is more than enough to hook till the end, movie is crafted such interestingly. Really loved the performance of the lead actor. Worth watching film The story left a suspense as if he really had cocaine or it was a setup by police. Only Malayalam Movie Industry can make such movies in India. Simple mystery with Just one character for 95% of the movie onscreen. Definitely worth the time.
Bannerghatta is indie- mystery-thriller film,
movie begins on an evevning protognist of the movie is driving a van. We cannot see any other charecters for an hour, we can only listen to they conversation he makes withn them through a mobile phone. After a while he comes to know that his sister who went for a job interview is not attending her call, she is probably missing. Then how the protognist try to find out what happens to his sister forms rest of the story. Makers of the film have very less money but they have great story telling craft. I really loved the emmersive experience of the film.. its a must watch film.. but i must warn you that, this is one of a kind of film, you either hate it or love it to the core.
Aashiq is driving at night to deliver a packet, while phone calls from his wife and others keep coming in. While he says one lie after the other to each of them, unsuccessfully, he also gets a call from his sister in Bengaluru, hinting that she might be in danger. Making a story set in a moving vehicle a compelling watch is hardly easy. Film gets unfurled mostly in its protagonist's journey in the night, as constant phone calls and other interruptions disrupt things for him. Aashiq is caught up in various financial issues and as he drives in the night to get a 'packet' delivered, he gets numerous calls. One of the calls is from his sister, Aashna, and as it abruptly ends, he feels she is in danger. How well will the man handle the crisis? The movie is mostly a curious experiment with a single man appearing on screen for the longest time, though a few others make an appearance later. His distracted driving, often-concocted responses to phone calls and the dimly-lit night roads that form the backdrop build a sense of peril and bewilderment in the beginning, making the viewer wonder where it's all headed.
Overall it's not just another experimental film but a new cinematic experience.

Clearly Bannerghatta is one of the understated, unappreciated movies from recent times. Makers of the movie deserves a big appreciation for making such an attempt.
It was such a treat watching the film. Music was minimal, still sound effects and ambient sounds creates necessary tension and mystery on screen. They could have played loudly but they intentionally wanted us to experience such a way. Overall it really an unique film, rarely seen in Indian language films. Movie deserves more attention that it currently getting. I really don't know why people are not aware of this gem of a film. Hope this movie gets recognised in some point of time.
