    That was hard to watch

This season has definitely been a low point for SNL. While there are plenty of weak seasons, usually they can at least get the audience to laugh during the show. That's not the case here, most of the "jokes" are met with silence, and the loudest the audience gets is when cast members or special guest WALK onto the scene, or when the sketch FINALLY ends, which in comparison to during the sketches, the audience goes wild. The highlights of the episode were the two songs that they did which were shockingly creative and well put together. Maya Rudolph did "funny" voices the entire time, but thankfully she can always appease the audience with a 0 effort Kamala impression. Jack Harlow was boring. Bowen yang tried to make a point I guess? He couldn't decide if he should be serious or funny, so he did neither. And the worst part is that SNL continues to parade him around as their token Asian guy rather then ACTUALLY USE HIM AS A REGULAR CAST MEMBER!!! What a progressive and groundbreaking show. I have very little hope for the rest of this season, and unfortunately the cast as a whole.

    Awful episode.

I honestly think 3rd graders could write funnier stuff. Thank goodness for the fast forward button. AND the delete episode button 63 minutes in. I always hope Weekend Update will pull through with some laughs, but that is almost the worst part of the show these days.

Worst show of a horrible season

The writing is so lazy and unfunny. The cast is too big. The opening credits are long and unnecessary. Even WU sucks now, and that used to be the saving grace. The Kamala skit was offensive and borderline anti-Semitic. The musical guest was horrible.

Lorne Michaels - PLEASE retire. The show needs an infusion of new producers, writers, performers. Don't waste the show's 46-year legacy on this poorly-conceived trash.

    Painfully unfunny, again

SNL is beyond embarrassing this year. Sketches are cringy, acting is incredibly weak. I keep hoping that they can pull themselves up again, but it does not look good.

    But Wait, It Gets Worse

If you thought the cold open was bad, just wait, it gets worse. Asode from a couple of good cracks on Weekend Update, this whole episode was dreadful. The writers clearly did not know what to do with Maya and the result was humorless skit after humorless skit. Every guest appearance was completely wasted -- including Adam Levine performing with the talentless Jack Harlow.

Maya Rudolph: [during her monologue, Maya asks new castmembers Andrew Dismukes, Punkie Johnson and Lauren Holt to join her on stage] Let me tell you something: I am a big fan of all of you. You people are so talented, so... unique. And I remember all your names: Chirpie, Lil' DeeDee and Callista Vagina.
