I am impressed with the Old Fisherman's acting. His acting is even more realistic than the male lead who acted as the beggar. Hen he first met the beggar, he responded well of his disgust and unbelief. The beggar's acting was too exaggerated for me. I was near to tears when the Old Fisherman sacrificed himself to protect Zhang Cheng Lin. At the end of his life, His expression of regrets, sadness and uncertainty were written on his face. He did not reveal his true identity till the end. The loyalty and trustworthiness of this character should be acknowledged.
I am a believer that a drama is made up of a crew with members playing their roles well. I think this Old Fisherman should deserve some credit for his acting skills despite a small role he played in this drama. I give him my full respect.
