Lloyd Kaufman was invited to play the role of Caulfield Tillingwurst but had to decline when filming dates interfere with his Festival Appearance schedule. The production team then recast the role with Topon Das, guitarist of the Heavy Metal band Fuck The Facts. Topon Das ended up having scheduling issues due to tour commitments and the role was finally just filled by director Colin Burrowes .
"Beyond Lovesauce" was first conceived as a film within the film "Pretend It's Yesterday Again" but due to problems during production they ended up become two entirely different productions.
