This video was filmed in an old abandoned dynamite factory in Hercules, California, outside of San Francisco. As with most videos for The Call, "Scene Beyond Dreams" was filmed in black and white. The entire interior of the factory was hosed down and filming began after dark, giving the video a decayed industrial look. Michael Been's compositions are quite cinematic and he was very involved in the imagery of this video.
