The shoot location in Long Beach was a Victorian style home built in 1903. A 3-story structure with a staggering 18 rooms. According to a historian, the original homeowner was the city's fire chief.
There were over 300 submissions for the role of Ingrid. The writer/director was looking for someone to convincingly play two separate personalities within that role. Layla was the only one who pulled it off in her first audition.
For the role of Aguirre, Victor Manso had no English speaking lines. They were all in Castilian Spanish.
For the role of Jonathan, actor Christopher Fuentes did heavy research on the lives of naval captains, even researching the kind of food they ate while out at sea.
