The Orchard House in Concord, Massachusetts was the actual location used for the upstairs sequences of the Alcott home in the scenes as well as the exterior location. The downstairs of the Alcott home was produced down in Apex, North Carolina at the Maynard Pearson House part of the Apex Historical Society.
