Peyton List in Aileen Wuornos: American Boogeywoman (2021)

Trivia

Aileen Wuornos: American Boogeywoman

Edit
In the beginning segments of it showing the flashbacks of murders, the scene in the car at 2:20 is from the movie "Monster" where Charlize Theron played Aileen Wuornos.
When the project was announced, star Peyton List explained in a statement why she was excited about taking on this role, "We know so little of the early years of Aileen, especially given she was living a very different life to the one we see in Monster (2003). Embodying such a deeply complex and divisive character is what drew me to the project, and I can't wait to bring context to America's most infamous female serial killer."
Voltage Pictures announced in March 2021 that it has taken worldwide rights to American Boogeywoman, based on the early life of one of America's most notorious female serial killers, Aileen Wuornos. Charlize Theron won an Oscar for playing her in the 2003 film Monster. Currently in postproduction, the film stars Cobra Kai star Peyton List as young Wuornos and is written and directed by horror filmmaker Daniel Farrands (The Haunting of Sharon Tate, Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers).
When Lewis returns after bailing Aileen out of jail, the car they're sitting in is a 1956/57 Chevrolet Corvette (C1). This model featured a small block V8 making about 245 hp. It is considered by many to be one of the most collectible of all Corvette models. As seen by the darts on the side panel as well as the rear bumper, it's a 1958.
The last name of Spool with the waitress Diane, coupled with working in a diner, makes clear reference to Psycho Part 2.
