Edit
Shot in 4 and 1/2 days in Moquah and Ashland, Wisconsin.
For the death scene of actor, Andrew Beirl, real pig intestines were used. They were donated to the production from Pierce's Sausage Kitchen, a local butchery in Ashland, Wisconsin.
Actor, Guillermo Diaz, had to wear a body harness for the scene in which he was hanged. It was first tested by key grip, Robert Watts, to make sure it was safe. This was the second time in Diaz's career when he had to use a body harness. The first being a stoned flying sequence in the movie, "Half Baked," just 6 years earlier.
The woodshed that burns down in the ending sequence of the film was an actual grain mill built in 1915 in Moquah, Wisconsin. It was part of the farm that director, Jon Huybrecht's mother grew up on.
The majority of the background actors for the barn party scene were local high school band students, recruited by director, Jon Huybrecht's high school band teacher, Christine Hulmer. She also makes a cameo in the opening funeral scene along with her youngest son, Brett, who plays one of the altar boys.
