Irène Jacob and Bill Pulman also worked in the comedy "History Is Made at Night" (1999), however, in this film their characters are unrelated and never are onscreen together. The DVD features additional footage of Irène singing at the Maze Inn Hotel of Rio de Janeiro, where the rest of the cast, including Pullman, are part of the audience.
During one scene in the favelas with Irène Jacob and her Portuguese-Brazilian fellow translator, a shotgun firing at close range is heard during the interview of a local family, causing a bit of distraught among the actors during the filming. This scene was added as extra footage in the bonus content of the DVD release.
