With this film, Agnes Varda was the very first director to ever cast Gérard Depardieu in an acting role. This film was sadly never completed due to lack of funding and was abandoned. Only around 8 minutes were shot, featuring Depardieu, and this unfinished footage was shown at the Cinémathèque Française at the end of the 1990s.
