Swing is a black comedy drama that follows an elderly lady named Cynthia, who is as tough as the old denim that makes up her gardening attire. Her husband Barry has recently retired and spends most of his time locked in their bedroom listening to his favourite jazz records instead of helping her with the gardening. Cynthia is carrying on with the pot plants as she always does, before her intrusively lonely neighbour Jill attempts to start a prolonged conversation, causing her to make her excuses before heading inside to give Barry an earful. As she bursts into the room to berate Barry, her warpath is derailed as she makes a discovery that turns her life completely upside down. From here Cynthia goes on an intimate journey of where she is forced to look at the part she has played in their relationship and how the intensity of her love has been eroded by time. As the film progresses she has to learn to confront feelings that she would normally shy away from expressing as we get a glimpse of the love they once shared.
