This show is a complete waste of space, so terrible . Doesn't anyone at BBC check with test audiences anymore! This show is appalling & just so boring. So horrendous, do not even bother! Hideous idea! Just because it worked in S Korea doesn't mean it will work in the UK. Avoid like the plague!
Game shows. The BBC's Achilles heel during the pandemic. While Michael McIntyre's 'The Wheel' did just about enough to be deemed a hit despite being poor, while Gordon Ramsey's 'Bank Balance' seemed to become a punch-line before the first episode had even finished.
So, never ones to give up, the BBC inflict yet another 'new' game show upon us, only to find that actually it's a Frankenstein's monster of a show, made up of parts from other shows.
It's poor, it really is. Who are the panel to say who is a good or bad singer? How do the people feel about being called a bad singer?
It even has similarities to Vernon Kay's new show on the other side, and even comes out the loser there.
ITV have the monopoly of good game shows, the BBC should stick to doing sitcoms...oh, hang on.

There have been some dodgy game shows of late, but I thought the trailer showed potential. I was not so keen when Paddy and the panel were introduced, my first reaction was "Oh no, not wheeling out this bunch again!" I have to concede there is a reason why this is not their first TV appearance of the week. They are quite entertaining.
It is a game you find yourself playing along with at home. It's straightforward, no great structures required.

If you're not a fan of singing shows then of course this will probably be pretty boring. But there have been enough great performances that I keep tuning in. A couple times the mystery singer completely out sang the guest panelist, which I always find hilarious!
One gripe is we don't get to chat with the final singer... Come on, they deserve more screen time!
As an update after seeing 5 episodes, I can tell you that there is simply zero useful information given out about whether the singers are good or bad. Which makes for more drama, but perhaps this explains the poor ratings.

Brits,
It's time to be a bit more light hearted and less boring.
Seriously, there is no need to be stuck in 8/10 CDC forever.
It's simply an entertainment show where people voluntarily come to have fun or show off their talent.
Honestly, I am watching ep2 atm, I see those 'bad' singers literally flying around the stage having fun.
Come on, we know what is good/bad, no one forced them to come on the show to be embarrassed. I see pure enjoyment on their performances.
The only things that could have been different in my opion are lighter background, smaller stage set with more guests and audiences there to react and have fun together.
We should be a bit more forgiving as all this covid 19 pandemic is keeping them impossible.
Some of the 'good' singers are truly amazing. How lovely is that they can sing on stage without having to be judged.
