There is nothing wrong with a domino show, but the producer has made it convoluted and confusing and tiring to watch. The cuts a fast and frequent, no character development is taking place, and the viewer isn't allowed to follow the talk between team members. Instead there is non stop silliness from the fat host. When the race is on there isn't an overview shoot to let the viewer engage in the setup. While closeups of of technicalities should be shown, the fall back should be the same overview shoot.
The show lacks self confidence and tries to make itself be something that it isn't. The producer must be fired.

Is it too much to ask that they actually let us see the dominos fall? Reaction shots, cameras following bits and pieces of the whole setup. Just let us see the whole thing, for crying out loud.
Fairly good show but I'm not sure why they chose the Stonestreet guy to host it. I guess they where short for tallented hosts and he was very available. He's really hard to watch, he's extremely annoying and his face and voice just make me want to turn off this program. My family enjoys watching the builds and final domino topple. Its amazing to see what these teems are capable of doing with domino's. They have done very well finding talented competitors for this show. The teams are very skilled and alot of the time we have a hard time picking who we thought won the show. But all in all I would say that this show would be much better and much more watchable with a different host.
Yes it is very similar to Lego Masters but that is not a bad thing. If you like Lego Masters then you should like this. I enjoyed they way they introduced each team and the running of each build was exciting. I am interested to see where this goes.
There is something hypnotic about watching dominos fall. The creativity and artistry of an elaborate setup falling is captivating viewing.
What isn't captivating is lousy actors with juvenile nicknames doing bad impressions of American Ninja Warriors on gallons of Red Bull. The absurd lines the announcer is given only magnifies the irritation. By the time the dominos fall your brain is so numb from unrelenting idiocy that you no longer care the "competition" is as staged as those singing show and the winner is predetermined.
Grab the remote, mute the sound, fast forward to the topples, and enjoy three minutes of genuinely interesting viewing. Three stars.
