As the tryout is drawing near, King gets edgy because he is still unable to jump high enough to get good downward spikes. When he runs into Chang Ka Yu, the former legendary spiker, he starts asking for her advice. Ka Yu, on the other hand, is stuck in her past, which makes her detest anything related to volleyball.

When Ka Yu agrees to coach them if they find a court, King does his best to find one only to fail after numerous attempts. To help Ka Yu step out of her past, Wong Kam suggests using the hall at the school he teaches in. However, when San screws things up, they are left with no place to go again. Ka Yu then takes them to a place that she has never set foot in since she quit the Hong Kong team.

While Ka Yu is searching for a new coach, the guys are recruiting new team members. Ka Yu comes across Small Fry, an amateur volleyball player in an unexpected incident, and invites him to join the team. As the registration for the Third Division League is closing, King wants to get Ka Yu's green light to submit the form and have her as their coach. However, Ka Yu gives them a surprise that leads to a conflict in the team.

After days of practicing defense, San begins to get fed up and refuses to go to practice. When King asks Ka Yu to coach them on how to play offense, Ka Yu learns about their lies. However, soon after they discover the reason behind Ka Yu's coaching method, they rush to their usual spot to apologize to Ka Yu, but she's nowhere to be found.

The team participates in the Third Division League, looking to win the league title. However, things don't always turn out the way as expected. After suffering a crushing defeat in their first game, some of them are on the brink of giving up on volleyball. However, a simple reminder and words of encouragement fire up their spirit again.

After months of training, the guys made improvements, but there's still a lot to learn. Ka Yu makes them have a bottle-hitting contest, and King starts to get competitive when Small Fry does better than him. As King works on improving his skills, Small Fry is heartbroken to learn that his crush likes someone else.

King's younger sister Ann joined Littles as assistant coach. The players were excited, but Yu was at odds with her. With Ann taking on most of the administrative work, the captain Ning felt lost. Sun also wondered about his position in the team. When Ka-Yu trained the team on a new tactic, Sun thought he finally had the chance to shine. However, it turned that this new tactic was just a feint to cover Yu and King. Sun's dream shattered and he had a quarrel with his teammates. Ka-Yu was a devoted coach but her passion for the sport was not recognized by her boyfriend Marco. The two also began to question their positions in each other's hearts.

Littles went to a training camp before starting their season in the Third Division. They played friendly matches with the Third Division team Fei-Ah on two consecutive days. Fei-Ah is good in defense and excels in provoking their opponents, which serves as a good test of Littles' mental strength. King and Yu competed in secret. Both of them asked Bobby to help put in extra training at night. Fong-Cheung was worried because he was way behind. Fortunately, Ka-Yu discovered his strengths and taught him the trick of hitting the ball at the opponents' hands. Although this trick works, he had to brave the ridicule that his opponents threw at him. In Ka-Yu's eyes, it did not matter which moves you used, winning was above everything else. Her persistence let Marco see the other side of her, and their relationship faced a big test.

In order to avoid the opponent's blocks, Ka-Yu taught Bobby and King to practice a new tactic . King was ready to show off his skills in the Third Division but Yu stole the show and won their first game with the same move. Yu wanted to show his crush that he was better than Sun from Eagles so he secretly asked Bobby to give him extra practice. Bobby cared about King's feelings so he kept looking for opportunities to pass the ball to King. Yu questioned Bobby's judgment and angered King. King and Yu refused to reconcile and came to blows. In the end, Littles kept losing points. Ka-Yu got mad and worried that Littles would repeat what happened last year.
