Despite the title, this movies' plot is no way related to real life serial killers David and Catherine Birnie who lived in a house on Moorhouse street during their killing spree in the 1980s.
Producing partners David Laurance and Christopher Mark Peters are real life Brothers-in-Law who formed the production company CHRAVE. Several of their family members appear in the film in small roles.
