Jessica marries Simon Prescott whose rich family harbors many secrets. His dad dies and they return home to the family estate called Rockledge for his funeral which looks like it's the only property on top of a mountain. Anyway, Jessica is not welcomed by Simon's family who think she is after the family fortune. Lots of twists and turns in this movie but the ending was too rushed and the music overshadowed the dialogue at times or would have given it a higher rating! Still recommended, though!
I watched this movie homesick because it was filmed where I grew up so I wanted to see home and knowing all the places I was more inter where it was shot the movie was horrible itself bad acting and they had it like they could just walk to the bi yard which is like 40 miles away then they had them driving on two different roads like it was the same road and they were clearly going up in a scene that were supposed to going up and I swear in one scene they deleted Roanoke star off the mountain in a scene of the mansion but the star is in the movie which I'm glad they call Roanoke star city horrible movie it did make me homesick but I watched the movie for the background not the plot which was horrible chick gets brained and doesn't leave her friends get poisoned doesn't leave and the one person you can't even make out wearing a police uniform looks nothing like Roanoke cities not to mention the cop cars at the end were not accurate at all over never seen that make or model used also when they come off the mountain road there is no bridge the one shot at the end and the one where the car follows them I think that might be on the parkway but one thing for sure it's not on Mill mountain anywhere especially where they try to put it in the movie for me it was just about seeing my home town.
Loud music as previously stated. Awkward scenes, made awkward, terrible acting. You can see the emotions being thought out and not executed well. I love cheesy, predictable movies that show up on lifetime. This is NOT one of them...
I agree with the other comment that states the music is too loud. It's nearly unbearable. Not only that, the protagonist cries horribly, and is really not a good actor. I love lifetime movies because they are usually corny and entertaining, but this one is a little too much. The storyline is unoriginal, so with the loud music and the bad acting, it has little to offer. I gave four stars because it was entertaining enough.
It was okay, I still watched it till the end. Good for a midday movie. The home estate mansion in it was absolutely beautiful! I like thriller - mystery movies! I liked the story line. Some of the acting was good. It was a low budget B-grade movie. The guy that played the husband was good to look at.
Overall I gave this movie a 5/10 half points as I was still intrigued to watch the whole movie from beginning to end. Although this is a type of movie that I would probably never watch again or tell a friend or family member to watch. I'm not sure why we have to write so much in a movie review, just using up works now..
