Just stumbled into this short by accident. Based during the pandemic lock-down around 2020 in the UK. It starts out with three friends discussing their sexual frustrations and fantasies to each other over laptop group chat.
I didn't really know what to expect, I thought it might be some high brow philosophical reflection about the social transformation of lock-down. It starts out incredibly cheesy, the dialogue is tacky and stilted. It's so utterly cringe-worthy you initially think it might be some some soft porno parody.
Perhaps it was an attempt at serious drama, lost to the vagaries of simultaneous isolation. Dreary suburban back drops and jarring musical interludes ramp up the naff factor.
Anyway it's so utterly cringe it's almost endearing. Totally ripe for parody, but it probably is parody, it's kind of hard to tell what it is. It could just be some film makers fantasy.
Watch with your friends after a few beers and then try and recreate the vapid conversation. Or film your own version. This could be the start of something big.
Or just wind through to a random scene, it's absolutely hilarious.
