The Fixer

Ok, so having grown up in the fast paced and quick witted original. I'm really trying cause I want to love it cause like the OG love longing character. I try my damndest to keep hope 😂 this wasn't bad, but I'll say... you want you build the same following? You'll need to step it up! Seemed very short, dry humor compared to what we're used to. Idk how to explain it really, just it's not the same, or even close. I still watch the originals and laugh more!! Habit? Maybe. But if you want that same following you're gonna have to kinda step it up and think about what people really found funny and fun! Of the original series or it's doomed to fail and I would love to see this series make a come back....

This episode made me say, "okay that's actually good television" out loud at the very end. It has some moments that are hard to watch and are a little cringey, but all in all I think this series is heading in a good direction. Here's to hoping our time invested in HIMYF is worth it in the end.

The main characters have interesting story, and the friendship is literally blooming. I'm so happy! And even some scene put a smile on my face. Can't wait for eps 4!

This episode was much better, wittier, funnier and waay more charming than the first two episodes. Early signs that the show can channel HIMYM's general aura and use it to its strength by adding its own charm and wit! More like this please!

This episode is a lot better, each storyline had a legitimate point to it and some characters (Sophie, Jesse, and Sid) had a lot more depth added to them.

The storytelling seems to be on track and I think the scenarios will continue to be interesting enough.

My main critics are the jokes falling flat and leaning way too hard into "millennial humor". Whenever the jokes are focused on trendy things it's just kind of cringe. Also cutting to older Sophie 2-3 times an episode for a garbage joke and her off screen son is lame and kind of dead space in the episode. I really hope they get away from that.

Overall I am interested in the story of the show and I really hope they find their comedic tone as the season goes on.
