levinson is the start of impressionistic filmmaking

I really couldn't care that much about the characters or like the love triangles (it's interesting but in the end not amazing), all I want to say here is that Levinson and Marcell Rev have pulled off what i've been looking for in cinema for a long long time

about 20-30% of this episode is built up with these elliptical and beautiful passages that flow through one another (which i've sort of termed impressionistic filmmaking when i thought of it a couple years ago), which I've wanted to do in filmmaking but Levinson got there first. Insane, insane, insanely good filmmaking and craft. Same deal in the first episode too with those photo moments where rue/jules the rest of the characters flash in and out.

Seriously that opening sequence gave me goosebumps so hard that my recently shaved legs started hurting from the hair ends.

The original Israeli Euphoria is far better

The american show is too much of everything. The photography is amazing yes, but, the plot line is light years away than the original show (in the bad way).

Make yourself a favour and watxh the Israeli one.

    Kinda dissapointed

Episode 2 was all over the place, trying to connect the charcters. Firs episode was brilliant so i guess this second one had to slow it down.

With few bright moments mostly it's an episode about characters emotional state. With that said i hope ep3 pick up paste and put some 🔥🔥🔥 In it again.

    Sam! Where are we going?

Season 2, episode 2 of Euphoria has us taking an entirely new direction in Sam Levinson's narrational style. Rather than focusing on a specific character, this episode vied for a whirlwind of experiences ranging from Cal to Lexie. It was really stinky at times though and I couldn't get past it. Smelled like rotting garbanzo beans. Yuck.

    "Do you have it?"

Exciting, inventive, surreal, grounded, devastating, funny, and just about everything you want from a Euphoria episode. Great moments from pretty much every character in this, and I was particularly fascinated by what was done with Nate. I'm also loving what we get from Lexi, who is in many ways the most relatable character on the show. Excited to see what all of this leads to, but nervous about what it means for a lot of them. Another great episode!

Originally, adult film star Chloe Cherry was supposed to be completely naked during the scene where her character Faye is shoved into a vent by boyfriend Custer (Tyler Chase). But Chase complained saying it was too much so creator Sam Levinson decided to keep her clothed, even though Cherry had no problem with it.
