After a long delay due to the pandemic, the Grand Prix is finally happening in Zandvoort, a small town in the Netherlands. 18-year-old Michael and his mother can hardly wait for the big event. Or so his mother believes. She is convinced that the introverted Michael is a huge race fan just like his father, who passed away not too long ago. Michael usually stays up in his room and doesn't seem to have many friends. Worried about her son's happiness, she is determined to give him the time of his life. All Michael wants is a clear dark sky so he can watch a rare meteor shower over Zandvoort on the very same night that the big race is going to take place. Not wanting to hurt his mom's feelings, Michael is careful in expressing his disinterest in the Formula 1. But when she makes him watch the race with her, he has no other choice but to take matters into his own hands, giving the famous Grand Prix slogan a very different meaning. It's lights out and away we go.
