Very enjoyable and worth watching. I totally recommend it.
Captain America: Brave New World is a very enjoyable movie. It is entertaining, engaging and reminds a little bit of "The Winter Soldier" from 2014 (which is a good thing). Maybe it's not the top of the MCU but it's certainly worth watching. I for sure wouldn't call it disappointing and bad as some people on the internet do.
The action scenes are great but I did expect a little more aerial action. But I'm still satisfied. The humour is toned down from the other MCU movies but it is still present. Joaquín Torres, the new Falcon, also has some cool scenes and he's mostly the one joking around. He has the same youthful energy that he had in the comics and is overall a likeable character. Sam Wilson is also really good as Captain America and I'm glad that he finally has his own movie.
I must admit that they could a little bit improve the villain of the movie. I don't mean the Red Hulk because he isn't really what you'd call a villain. The real villain of the movie is The Leader, who has debuted in "The Incredible Hulk" from 2008. He wasn't a bad villain, he was just underused. There were only a few scenes with him and even less where we actually were able to see his face. Also, the way they dealt with wasn't very emotional and felt really quick. So, while the Leader is the villain the real final battle was with the Red Hulk. There was also another villain, called Sidewinder. He was a leader of the mercenary group, SERPENT. He was also underused in this movie but it's the kind of villain that could easily be a recurring character and show up in some future projects.
So, while the Red Hulk isn't really the main villain he probably has the most screen time out of the three "bad guys". And well, he isn't really bad in this movie. He did do some crazy things in the past and persecuted superheroes but now he tries to change himself and we get a redemption arc for him.
If you've not watched the movie yet and are wondering if there's anything you should watch before, here's the list: "The Incredible Hulk", "Captain America: The Winter Soldier", "Captain America: Civil War", "Avengers: Infinity War", "Avengers: Endgame", "Falcon and the Winter Soldier", "Eternals".
There is also an end-credits scene and while it doesn't reveal anything we wouldn't already know, it is still worth waiting for the additional few minutes after the film ends.
