Amitabh Bachchan and Sudeep in Rann (2010)

Trivia

Rann

Edit
'Ram Gopal Verma' admired 'Paresh Rawal''s older roles where he played some serious roles as opposed to his repetitive comedy roles and decided to cast him. When the director narrated the script to Rawal, the actor suggested the red color on the character's forehead.
Ram Gopal Verma was taken back with Amitabh Bachchan's climax dialog, and shot the whole speech in one take.
After the production of the film 'Ram Gopal Verma' wanted to rename the film "India 24 x 7", as the story is around this fictional channel. The director asked Amitabh Bachchan to call Sanjay Dutt, who had the rights to the title "India". Dutt was jointly working with Director Soham on a script based on sports and India. Director Soham suggested that the makers use "24 x 7" and leave India out of the title. The team had no luck with the title "24 x 7" as this was registered with Percept Picture Company, so eventually they decided to keep the original title. The main reason why the director wanted to change the title was because this caused a lot of confusion on the Internet with the film Run (2004) with Abhishek Bachchan.
Kannada actor Sudeep had debuted in Bollywood cinema in Ram Gopal Verma Phoonk (2008). The director was so impressed with his acting, he decided to re-cast him again as one of the key roles.
Raj Kumar Rao played a cameo as a journalist in this film
