Actress Raashii Khanna, who is attending her cousin’s wedding, got nostalgic on meeting her loved ones after a long time, reminisced about her childhood memories. She added that the last two days have been a joy ride for her.

Raashii, who hails from Delhi, made her acting debut with a supporting role in the 2013 Hindi political spy thriller film ‘Madras Cafe’, directed by Shoojit Sircar.

Hindi cinema is filled with movies that cater to the theme of patriotism. In the last few years, many films in this genre have taken over the theater and Ott platforms. Shershaah, Sardar Udham, Uri: The Surgical Strike, Kesari, Bhuj: The Pride of India, Parmanu, Baby, and Satyamev Jayate. Sardar 2, the much-awaited sequel to the blockbuster spy thriller Sardar, starring Karthi in the lead role, has confirmed its music director. The makers of the film have announced that Yuvan Shankar Raja, the popular composer and singer, will be scoring the music for the film. This will be Yuvan’s third collaboration with director Ps Mithran, after Irumbu Thirai and Hero. Yuvan will be replacing Gv Prakash Kumar, who composed the music for the first part of Sardar.

Sardar 2 will continue the story of Vijay Prakash, a former police officer who joins a secret spy agency to fight against a powerful enemy. The film is expected to have high-octane action sequences and thrilling twists and turns. The film will also feature Vijay Sethupathi as the main antagonist, who will lock horns with Karthi in an epic showdown. The rest of the cast and crew details are yet to be revealed.

Actress Amrin Qureshi, who has been signed by some South Indian banners, said she is open to work in any language and industry.

Actress Laila, who made a comeback in cinema with director P. S. Mithran’s recently released superhit film ‘Sardar’, has shared on social media a behind-the-scenes video from the film in which she gets killed.

Laila, who plays a character that gets killed in the film, posted the video of a man forcing her head into a tank full of water, with her hands tied behind her back.

Sharing the video on Instagram, she wrote: “Special behind the scenes of ‘Sardar’. Film making is not a simple or easy job.”

Director P. S. Mithran does it with ease. Of course, director of photography George sets the mood with his lighting and special angles and effects. Sources close to the unit of the film said that producer Lakshman Kumar, who is thoroughly pleased with the success of the film, has presented the film’s director P S Mithran a Toyota Fortuner.

With director P. S. Mithran’s ‘Sardar’, featuring actor Karthi in the lead, emerging as a big hit, its makers have now announced its sequel.

Prince Pictures, the production house behind ‘Sardar’, on its Twitter handle put out a teaser making an announcement that a sequel will be made.

In the teaser, an Intelligence official is seen talking to Karthi. He tells him: ‘You have destroyed a major operation of the government. Therefore, you are dismissed from the police force” and added: “I was the one who made them do it.”

He then makes an offer to Karthi. “Your identity right now is that you are the son of a traitor. And that is to our advantage. This will enable you to earn a good name from our enemies. Are you willing to work for me as an agent?”

Karthi readily agrees and the Intelligence official tells him that they will start with Cambodia.

Rudyard Kipling’s “Kim” is set to get an animated feature adaptation by Indian filmmaker Ketan Mehta.

Mehta’s animation studio, Cosmos-Maya, will co-develop the film alongside Irish animation studio Piranha Bar. Mehta will direct.

“Kim” is a story by Kipling (pictured above) about Kimball O’Hara, Aka Kim, a savvy street kid turned child spy in colonial-era India who becomes an apprentice to a Shaolin monk. Kim is co-opted as a spy for the British Empire before embarking on an adventure of friendship, treachery and self-discovery.
