Elite Short Stories: Guzmán Caye Rebe

No pun intended - and as with all the shorts (3 episode running) and in case you are not aware: this is set in between season 3 and 4 of Elite! You do not need to watch this mini series, but you should better have seen the first 3 seasons of Elite! They are in and of themselves quite complete! The show could have ended then and there ... but I reckon it was too successful.

So with us (you dear reader and me) being in the understandment, that you have watched the show, let's get into it. This for me was by far the best of the short mini series they put out! Super funny - and it actually would work without any prior knowledge at all ... but of course it is even funnier if you know the characters and their backstory and get some of the jokes ... even from people/characters that are not in any of the episodes here (like Rebes mother) ... quite the high point ... sorry had to (also do not try this at home, not that I assume many have anything similar like this home)

Great actors. Caye had me in tears. The scene on the staircase was the best. I've loved this show for a while. I do miss the original cast, though. Each character had their own personality and was very enjoyable.

The Omar/Ander/Alexis short story series was bittersweet, emotional, moving, & beautiful. However, the show decided to take a completely different approach to this story - which was a nice switch after such a heavy story.

Viewers get to see Guzmán, Rebe, & Caye like we've never seen them before. Rebe has been a great comic relief in the show since season 2, but it was nice to see Guzmán having some fun and to see a humorous side of him given all that he's been through over the past couple seasons.

The story also offers some fun suspense as - once again - Rebe's mother is up to no good. But the biggest and most welcome surprise was some really nice character development for Caye. We really get to see her open up (thanks to some unintentionally-consumed shrooms) and it adds some layers to her personality and flaws. I never really cared for Caye up until this point and this series was the turning point when I started to like her.

I loved every minute of these mini-episodes. The actors do so well with the comedic timing, and the plot and situation are fun. You'll definitely spend pretty much the entire time laughing.

Fun to watch, great script. 1 old friend hosts a party with Guzman and Claudia which was a totally unexpected party of the century. Was not expected at all and with only 3 episodes a quick story line, suspense, scary and unexpected ending all happened. Definitely worth it to watch.

I was not expecting this at all, I love Elite but this comedy Elite on steroids.

Don't really understand why not make an episode instead of 3 little ones but still, happy this exists.
