It is one of the best movie I had ever seen. Lakhmichand was such a talented singer and regional vocalist that he made ragnis instantly on any topic.
Pt Lakhmichand is very far sighted and state poet of haryana. He had 2 students Pt Mangeram and Jat Mehar Singh who learnt the art of music from Lakhmichand. Lakhmichand Ragni are so melodious and full of knowledge that after listening to them no other songs seems good. It was great efforts of yashpal sharma ji who brought this Haryanavi Legend on big screen by sheer hard work of 6 years.
Must watch guys if you want to spend fine time with this haryanvi classic.

The only regret that you come out of theatre is how such cinema can't be commercial successful. This movie shakes you from inside out. Now matter how emotionally strong you are, you will breakdown many time during your interaction with the acting and storyline. Regional cinema is getting popularity just because of content and screenplay. I wonder how crap like housefull and thank god make a business with nonsense story and gem like this goes unnoticed. After chandraval, this movie is another hit from regional haryanvi cinema. Also, I don't find out any single movie in last decade that you can watch with your family, forgot about movie, nowadays even ads are so exotic that you have to some time close your tv when you are accompanied by your parents. But this movie will the moment that you proudly can enjoy.
The Luminous Bard of Haryana Lakhmichand
27th- English version of Haryanvi Literature:
In love or separation, detachment or envy, chivalry or social duty, affection or the parental love, this world or the heaven, Guru floats along with Lakhmi Chand's thoughts like the river-flow with a swimmer. This is what made him an Eklavya in the domain of poetic archery. If nature is harsh in one way, it is equally kind in another. It deprives a man in one aspect and more than compensates him by enriching him in the other. On the one hand, Lakhrni chand was an illiterate and poor rustic, on the other, he was a king of music, poetry and dramatic performances. There is a rare example in the history of an artist of this stature who excelled in poetry, acting, music and refined singing. It is said about Amir Khusro, "if an orphan became a royal poet, he was Amir Khusro." Likewise it can be said about Lakhmi Chand that if any ordinary cow-grazer rose to the heights of moon encompassing the entire sky of folk art, he was Lakhmi Chand. It would not amount to an exaggeration to say that after the Ram Charita Manas of Tulsi, Sufi Couplets of Kabir, and devotional poems of Meera and Surdas, if any other poet shaped and influenced thoroughly the thinking of Haryana's folk mind, he is Lakhmi Chand. He is a pillar of modesty and ascribes his entire knowledge and enrichment to the Guru and the god in following stanza from Saang Seth Tara Chand.
("Meeting with an emotional embrace of moving hearts, Seth Mansa and Tara Chand met after a lapse of twelve years.)
God should be kind to offer a protective longevity to this relationship-an endeared friend meeting a friend is a God meeting a man in human frame.'

After many many years we are able to watch something really really informative in regional cinema. It's a must watch for our young generation and especially the so called song writers of modern cinema who have forgotten our culture and keep on composing meaningless songs.
Pandit Lakhmichand was SURYA KAVI of Haryana. Dada's each and every work was filled with messages and morals. His work had a glimpse of future. All the predictions he made in his work proved to be true in future.
New generation should go and watch this biopic so that they can know about a forgotten hero of Haryanvi Literature and SAANG culture.

The Luminous Bard of Haryana Lakhmichand
30th- English version of Haryanvi Literature
In Haryana, lovers ornament only beloveds of supreme beauty with such similes, union with whom is either impossible or highly difficult. The warriors from this land kept ready to fight invaders every moment. So the similes of war life, man-killer enemy, applied to heroine Notanki, is not strange. The poet, even lost in love-themes alongwith hero Phool Singh, is concurrently aware of the transience of youth and life.
Lakhmi Chand with Guru's protective blessings aspires for a life as perfect as heroine's grace.
This life has to end up in death. Youth thunders like a heavily laden cloud, and none knows when the heart of vainful Notanki will melt for a Union." The simile of 'man killer' for a beautiful woman symbolises the burning passion of a deprived lover.
