As wealthy business tycoon Branko Kadic prepares to marry his former secretary, Kristina, Stefan and Anastasija, his children from his previous marriage, arrive in Belgrade for the ceremony - as does Kristinas's old flame, Momcilo. Things get even more complicated when Momcilo's old friend, Vukasin approaches him about forming a business partnership. But Momcilo is loyal to Branko -- until Vukain's plans are sabotaged and it looks like Branko was behind it. Momcilo, on the other hand, also has family problems - his wife Lidija is being treated in a mental institution, while with his daughter Manja, Momcilo fails to form a relationship. And all because of his long business absence on Branko's project in Africa.

Wanting to reconcile with Kristina, Branko fills her apartment with flowers and takes her on a private plane to a Hungarian dinner. Branko and Kristina talk about their disagreement. Momcilo visits his wife Lidija in a mental institution, and finds out that she's about to be released. Momcilo, Lidija and their daughter Manja decide to rebuild their family. Preparations for the wedding are underway. Stefan and Branko quarrel over Stefan's lifestyle.

As Branko and Kristina recite their wedding wows, Vukasin arrives with a gun determined to get revenge. Ognjen pursues Anastasija even though she's more interested in his uncle. Momcilo quits his job with Branko, to work with Vukasin.

The honeymoon is cut short when Branko's business runs into trouble.Kristina has trouble dealing with the household staff. Vojin Konstantinovic has a proposition for Anastasija, and Stefan goes to work for Momcilo Bjelic.

When Branko throws an elaborate dinner party and invites Momcilo in hopes of luring him back to Kadwest. Momcilo tells Kristina he still loves her. Stefan befriends Momcilo's emotionally unstable wife, Lidija.

While Stefan's ex-lover, Viktor, arrives in Belgrade and begs Stefan to come back to New York, Anastasija and Ognjen jet off to get married. Branko's chauffeur, Mihailo, secretly tries to help his boss by bribing a banker.

Mihajlo finds out about Vojin's deal with Anastasija and tells Branko, and Momcilo's daughter Manja, has an encounter with a boy at school who says she's going to end up as crazy as her mother. Stefan and Lidjija share a kiss.

As Stefan's anti-gay co-workers continue to taunt him, Veselin decides to take him to a bordello. Branko attempts to save his business by putting key holdings in Kristina's name. Kristina pawns an expensive piece of jewelry to help Momcilo.

As Branko angrily tries to discover who helped Momcilo, Momcilo discovers his own worker was paid by Branko to sabotage the construction site and blame it on Stefan. Blake goes into a rage when he finds Kristina's birth control pills.

Mihajlo tells Anastasija that Kristina sold the jewelry and gave the money to Momcilo. Lidija picks up a young man at a club, but when she changes her mind and calls Stefan to come get her, they end up spending the night together.

Stefan decides it's time to make some changes, so he moves out of the mansion then tells Branko he'll come work for him. Manja finds out her mother slept with Stefan, and Branko has Mihajlo beaten after learning he slept with Anastasija.

Mihajlo tells Branko that Kristina sold her earrings and gave the money to Momcilo. Ognjen is so outraged when learns about his uncle's deal with Anastasija that he makes a drunken scene at Vojin's birthday party with Vojin's new girl.

Viktor arrives back and meets Lidija to talk about Stefan. Fed up with Branko's games, Kristina leaves. Stefan also plans to leave Viktor, but Viktor tracks him to Kadic mansion where their good-bye hug leads to disaster.

Kristina returns to stand by Branko after he's arrested for Viktor's murder. When the prosecutor pushes for a murder conviction Anastasija testifies that Viktor tripped and hit his head, but then Stefan takes the stand and accuses Branko.

Back at the mansion tempers erupt over Stefan's testimony. When Lidija is called to the stand, to reveal her affair with Stefan, Momcilo is outraged and attacks Branko. But all this is just a warm-up to the prosecution's surprise witness.

Aleksandra testifies against Branko and proves that he can be a violent man. Lidija awakens in the hospital and discovers Momcilo has run off with Manja.

Branko is sentenced. Aleksandra's true colors show when she moves into her old studio on Branko's property and their hatred for each other is evident. Tension rises as Branko tries to talk to Stefan. Kristina discovers she's pregnant.

After Lidija is released from the hospital, she attempts suicide. She's saved by Branko's friend doctor Nikola Toskovic, who has a secret vendetta against Branko. Aleksandra confesses to Stefan that Branko isn't Anastasija's real father

Aleksandra confesses to Branko that he's not Anastasija's father and urges him to reconcile with Stefan. Branko learns that his associates don 't like dealing with an accused murderer. Aleks reveals to Vojin that he is Anastasija's father.

As Stefan recovers at home,he and Branko reconcile. Kristina's ex-brother-in-law, sends his stepdaughter, Ana Marija, to stay with her. Aleksandra hires a P.I. to uncover Kristina's past,and Vojin puts pressure on Branko to repay the loan.

In order to repay the loan, Branko gets the money from gangster Rajic. Ana finds comfort in Stefan's bed. Vojin organizes a hunt on his ranch. Aleks spots Kristina on horseback. With premeditated shot, the horse throws Kristina.

Kristina is devastated after learning that she's not only lost the baby, but she can no longer have children. Anastasija continues her affair with Nikola. Although Stefan and Ana Marija spent time away, he asks Lidija to marry him.

Branko hires Ognjen to help him find Rashid Ahmed. Aleksandra meets with Rashid in Dubrovnik,a former lover. Anastasija learns she's pregnant, makes plans for abortion.Aleksandra persuades Branko to come to Dubrovnik under false pretenses.

Traveling to Dubrovnik, Branko phones a despondent Kristina in another attempt to get her to see the psychiatrist Nikola Toskovic. Consumed with jealousy over Kristina, Anastasija tells Ognjen their marriage was a business arrangement to benefit Branko and she only became pregnant to compete with Kristina. Kristina becomes shattered over suggestive photos that appear in a tabloid of Branko and Aleksandra together in Dubrovnik. Nikola comforts Kristina and passion soon ignites.

Kristina stops Nikola before they sleep together, but Nikola confesses his love for her. She tells him she won't cheat on her husband. Branko returns and explains the photos were not what they seem. Stefan spends all his time with Ana Marija and decides to be a race car driver. Ognjen tells Branko that Anastasija is about to have an abortion. Branko rushes to the abortion clinic to stop it. Meanwhile: Rajko Bonic comes to persuade Branko to sell the rest of his football team.

Stefan and Ana Marija are enjoying their time together away, until he asks his mother Aleksandra to help him finance his new race car passion, which she refuses, which makes Aleksandra upset and asks Anastasija for help. Aleksandra goes out of her way to make Kristina believe that an affair happened in Dubrovnik. Nikola persuades Kristina to leave Branko. To make matters worse Rajko Bonic, a representative for Lazar Rajic, interferes in the business as he tries to issue orders to Branko's football team. Branko tries to persuade Anastasija and Ognjen not to divorce. Branko begins to suspect that Nikola has something against him.

When a bomb is set at Branko, he becomes blind. Convinced that Lazar is behind the explosion, Branko settles plans to exact revenge. Now, Nikola tells Branko that the blindness may be psychological, but Branko won't listen. In fact, he isn't taking his new disability well at all and rages at everyone close to him, including his majordomo, Jovan. He really blows up when he receives a gift from "L.R." It's a blind man's cane. Clearly the gangster, Lazar Rajic, is taunting him for what he himself is responsible for. Kristina decides to hold off on telling Branko about her divorce plans until he's feeling better. Stefan and Ana Marija get married and they return home. Anastasija tells Aleksandra about her affair with Nikola and her feelings for him. Aleksandra promises to rid Kristina from their lives.

After doing some research, Ognjen discovers that Nikola's half brother, Djuro Sobajic, worked for Kadwest Group, but was killed in the Asian project. A sex-starved Anastasija can't get Nikola (her first choice) or even her husband, Ognjen (her distant second choice), to sleep with her. Branko attends the committee hearing, but Lazar Rajic does not. Nikola tries to convince Kristina that Branko is getting his sight back, but she won't leave Branko until she is certain. Aleksandra has a scheme to win Nikola back for Anastasija and turn Branko against Kistina. Anastasiaja tells her that she doesn't want help in her as she doesn't want to see her father hurt, eventually she reluctantly agrees. An anonymous e-mail is sent to Branko suggesting that Kristina is with Nikola. Branko's sight returns, but no one knows except Jovan, the butler.

Branko pretends to still be blind and has a talk with Nikola about the death of his brother. Kristina ends things with Nikola and decides to leave Belgrade, but is convinced to stay by Branko. Vojin blackmails Lidija; Nikola accepts Branko's explanation of his brother's death. Stefan refuses Branko's job offer, disappointed he turns to Ognjen. Anastasija resumes her affair with Nikola.

Branko finally tells everyone his sight is Back. During a party to celebrate Stefan and Ana Marija, Ana Marija becomes drunk and embarrasses the entire Kadic family. The truth about Vojin being Anastasija's real father is revealed. Afterward, Aleksandra and Anastasija are in a car accident that leaves Anastasija unconscious.

At the hospital, Anastasija gives birth to a son, who's born so weak that his chances are slim for survival. Lidija sleeps with Ognjen in order to steal a USB stick with archive documents from Branko's office. Meanwhile, Ana Marija leaves Stefan. When Kristina discovers the truth surrounding her miscarriage, she and Aleksandra have a catfight in her studio.

Upon learning he is not her true father, Anastasija refuses to see Branko; After a surgery, Anastasija's baby recovers, but she and Ognjen fight over custody. Ognjen falls in love with Lidija, but soon discovers that it's Lidija who has been leaking information to Vojin about Kadwest. Lidija's husband and daughter are believed dead.

Branko discovers, through a blood test, that he is Anastasija's real father. Stefan follows Ana Marija to Vienna, where she's been modeling at a sleazy studio. Lidija plans to shoot Vojin after learning that Momcilo and Manja are dead, but in a struggle between her and Kristina, the gun fires.

Lidija is wounded by the gunshot, and the police suspect Kristina in the shooting. Lidija doesn't remember the incident when she awakens. Branko gets a meeting with the reclusive Lazar Rajic. Vojin proposes marriage to Aleksandra.

Stefan is arrested for assault after beating up a con man who tries to blackmail him. Branko threatens Aleksandra when he learns of her involvement in Kristina's miscarriage. Lidija remains confused following the accident; Ognjen urges Anastasija to reconcile.

Little Branko Konstantinovic comes home from the hospital along with Suzana, the nurse hired to look after him. Aleksandra accepts Vojin's proposal of marriage and plans her wedding. Anastasija tells Nikola it's over between them; Lidija believes Anastasija's baby is her now deceased daughter Manja.

Anastasija and Ognjen reconcile after Anastasija hears Ognjen at his father's grave site. Branko turns down Farouk Ahmed's business offer realizing he was just trying to bail his brother Rashid out of trouble. Aleksandra is building a reception tent for her wedding on the Kadic estate which angers Branko. Lidija is getting deeper and deeper into a confused mental state and seems to be planning something. When Nikola discovers that Branko was responsible for his brother's death, a fight breaks out. Branko falls unconscious down a cliff and Nikola leaves him there. Little Branko disappears, and Vojin suffers a heart attack while making love to Aleksandra. While this is happening, Anastasija's baby is kidnapped.

Branko is lying alone and is injured after being thrown from his horse. With the help from the locals, luckily Kristina finds him and rushes him to the hospital. Nikola Toskovic disappears. Vojin is also at the hospital recovering from his heart attack, and Aleksandra assures him their wedding plans will proceed as soon as he's better. Meanwhile, the search is on for the kidnapped little Branko. At a televised press conference, a reward is announced and Aleksandra talks about their son Adam, who disappeared as a baby and was never found.

Off in another part of the country, Maksim learns from his dying grandmother that he is that missing Kadic heir. While Aleksandra and Vojin make plans to hold their wedding in the hospital, Maksim arrives to Belgrade to learn the truth about his past. When Lidija goes missing, Branko suspects she's behind the disappearance of little Branko. When she's confronted on a high rooftop , a distraught Lidija is clutching a bundle in her arms. Refusing to give the baby up - claiming that it's her own daughter Manja - she hurls the blanketed bundle over the edge. To the relief of all, the bundle turns out to be only a doll. But little Branko is still missing.

Lidija is sent away to Sanatorium. Little Branko is recovered from the real kidnapper, Aleksa Grkinic, father of the notorious Rade Grkinic. Branko gives Anastasija a job in his hotel La Mirage, where she encounters Maksim, unaware that he may be her brother. When Maksim confronts Branko with what his grandmother told him, Branko denies that he's his long-lost son Adam. Aleksandra and Vojin are wed in the hospital, but the marriage lasts only minutes before Vojin dies.

As Vojin's will is read, his entire fortune and Konstant Holding are bequeathed to Ognjen and Aleksandra. His role in the "Lazar Rajic - game" is also revealed, leading Branko to suspect that Aleksandra was involved. Maksim has now assumed the name Adam and goes to find Aleksandra. Showing Aleksandra the special baby wear he had when he was kidnapped, he convinces her that he is, in fact, her missing son.

Having gained Aleksandra's trust, Maksim (Adam) is given a position in Konstant Holding. This leads Branko to believe he might be their missing son as well. Branko and Kristina invite Adam for dinner, but it ends in confrontation. Anastasija and Adam continue to flirt with each other, not knowing they are siblings. Always plotting, the devious Aleksandra has tracked down Kristina's first husband, Marko.

Adam rejects Branko's attempts to reconcile. After Aleksandra learns that Marko is still married to Kristina, he's hired as a tennis pro at Anastasija's hotel. Adam is furious when Ognjen quits his job at Kadwest and starts working for Aleksandra. And after years of service, Jovan wants to quit his job at the mansion to be with his daughter Kruna in France, but Branko convinces him to stay.

After calling off her engagement in France, Kruna moves in with the Kadic's, but Jovan tries to persuade her to go back. Meanwhile Branko attempts to get politician Neven Maksic to help him with business matters. Ognjen and Adam struggle to work together at Konstant Holding and Adam has secretly gotten his hands on heavy drugs.

Anastasija throws a glamorous grand opening for her hotel "La Mirage" . Aleksandra seduces a state secretary Neven Maksic in order to stop him from helping Branko, but Branko threatens to expose the politician's past so Maksic tells Aleksandra he can't help her. Anastasija tracks down Stefan on social media. He's in Indonesia. At the party Marko shocks Kristina with the news that they're still married. Ognjen comes to the rescue during an altercation between Adam and Kruna, and by the end of the night Ognjen and Kruna are in a romantic embrace. Overly intoxicated, Anastasija and Marko are dancing together wildly in front of all the guests. Through his ex-girlfriend Adam gets his hands on a toxic emulsion and paints it all over Ognjen's office in order to start poisoning him.

Ognjen starts succumbing to the poison in his office and Jovan warns Kruna to stay away from Ognjen. When Kristina flies off to Trebinje to find out the truth about her divorce, Branko follows her for support. The legal issues are resolved and Branko and Kristina's marriage is validated. Things are looking up for the Kadic's until they learn the yacht in Indonesia Stefan was on has exploded.

Branko and Aleksandra fly separately to Indonesia, where Stefan is presumed dead after the yacht explosion. When Ana Marija's father Ugljesa tries to collect her share of Stefan's inheritance, Kristina throws him out. Jovan shows up at Ognjen's office to warn him to stay away from Kruna. Affected by the poison, Ognjen attacks Jovan. Branko's jealousy is piqued when Marko continues to try to contact Kristina.

Branko and Aleksandra search for Stefan in Indonesia. Branko continues to hold out hope of his son's survival by hiring a psychic to help. Kristina discovers that Ugljesa was paid by Marko to leave her alone. Meanwhile, distraught over Ognjen, Kruna goes to Adam for consolation but Adam soon makes advances and rapes her. Ognjen becomes increasingly ill from the poisonous substance and fumes in his office.

Branko continues to search frantically for Stefan with the help of the psychic. Kristina is concerned about Branko's erratic behavior; seeing Kristina's love for Branko moves Anastasija to reconcile with her. Aleksandra has arranged a memorial service for Stefan, but Branko refuses to attend, certain Stefan is still alive. Never missing a chance to scheme, grieving mother Aleksandra seduces Marko. Ana Marija appears at the mansion with Stefan's baby son, whom she named David Stefan.

Ana Marija follows her dream to become a model, leaving her newborn son David behind, she spurns lucrative offers from Branko and Aleksandra to stay. However, Kristina and Branko are thrilled when Ana Marija asks them to be David's adoptive parents. Meanwhile, Aleksandra resumes her secret affair with Kristina's ex-husband Marko. Then, in a hospital, Stefan is being operated on, he's alive, but the explosion resulted in severe burns. Aleksandra wants to take control of Konstant Holding.
