Manuel faces financial and work pressures that have plunged him into a creative crisis; in the midst of this chaos, a sudden change in his domestic life forces him to confront a painful reality that will change his life forever.
Manuel is devastated by Celsa's passing, and intends to replace the deceased Celsa with a young Paraguayan woman who, in principle, refuses to work for him. Meanwhile, Manuel's fear of dying alone grows.
Manuel no longer knows what to do to delay his commitment with the publisher, who is demanding hard proof that the book he was commissioned to write is nearly finished. His financial problems are getting worse as he is on the verge of bankruptcy.
