Cassex, which for whatever reason may be called "Videoverse" on some streamers (Tubi), turned out to be a lot more fun than I expected. The script is clever and witty and the actors are all at least average and often better. Anna Claire Clouds and Lexi Luna really excel and elevate the movie with solid acting (Anna) or good comic timing and phrasing (Lexi).
The eroticism is intentionally stagey, but it's not forced since the actors all appear to be having a good time throughout the filming. There's ample nudity from all the characters and they appear quite relaxed and natural.
On the budget they likely had (and it shows), they succeeded pretty well. Anna and Lexi would certainly have opportunities in greater films, as would Jazmin Luv and Ian Mark. Congrats to writer and director Lindsey Schmitz for delivering an entertaining, sexy, funny movie.

No pun intended - did you ever wonder, what an erotic movie would look like ... without the sexy stuff? Now don't get me wrong, the movie contains quite a lot of nudity - but it does not have (long) scenes where people are getting it on - at least they are not shown fully. People do like each other and sleep with each other, but nothing that can be considered ... well sufficient enough.
That all being said, maybe you skip those scenes or fast forward them in the erotic movies anyway, because you find the rest just too funny ... I am guilty of doing that. You don't have to do that here, since the movie concentrates on the story. It's kinda refreshing ... it is also quite fun. The acting is hit and miss ... but if you suspend your disbelief and just go with the flow and just don't mind seeing some beautiful people being silly ... with some nice twists (and some female power behind it all) ... you could do a lot worse.

I recently viewed Videoverse (2021) on Tubi. The plot revolves around an adventurous couple who stumble upon a mysterious VHS tape 📼 in their home and decide to watch it. To their surprise, it turns out to be a sex tape that unleashes alluring spiritual beings in their house, beings eager to engage in intimate encounters and pull them into the abyss between the living and the dead. Can the couple resist their desires, or will they become the house's next victims?
Directed by Lindsey Schmitz (Videoverse: Mixtape) and featuring Anna Claire Clouds (Lesbian Workout 5), Jazmin Luv (Bad Milfs), Jayden Cole (War of the Dragon) and Michael Vegas (Brazzers XXXtra).
This film feels like a risqué twist on "The Ring." While the storyline had potential, and the cast members are undeniably attractive, it seems like the film could have gone a step further, embracing its adult content (despite the ample nudity). The acting and dialogue leave much to be desired, but it's evident that viewers are not primarily here for those aspects.
In conclusion, Videoverse is primarily worth watching for its attractive cast. I would rate it 2/10 and recommend it only with the right expectations.
