Trying to make it home from work, a woman gets involved in an accident only to awaken in a bizarre fantasy world where a demented pink rabbit tasks her with performing tasks to get back to her son, forcing her on a trip to get back to him that puts her through increasingly bizarre confrontations.
Overall, this was a decent enough genre effort. Among the more enjoyable factors here come from the generally bizarre and off-kilter atmosphere present. The setup involving the accident while coming home and getting involved in the lives of the innocent farmers with no means of returning to her present time once she learns of the time-travel that took place to get her there offers some fun here. Initiating a series of revelations and twists about their purposes which is then interrupted by a slew of surprisingly bizarre antics ranging from swordfights with wooden legs, occult ceremonies, and a seemingly hyperactive half-man/half-rabbit being that's bestowed with supernatural powers coming along informing her of the game to be played with a strange set of rules to follow. This all gives the film a markedly different energy and feel. It all becomes apparent shortly thereafter how befitting this was at setting up what's to come later on. The strange and bizarre actions here continue as she makes her way through an increasingly off-kilter series of scenes and scenarios. Featuring graphic confrontations and decapitations, mystical fortune tellers living in an inescapable room trying to mentally torture her, fighting talking cats, and the encounter in the woods, this one builds the episodic setup rather well. As this is given a fantastic twist in the third act which turns the entire proceeding film around into a dark psychological turn from the whimsical fairy tale it had been until then that has some incredibly impressive setup work that's paid off perfectly. These features all come together into a highly enjoyable feature with a lot to like even though this one does have some minor drawbacks. The biggest factor here comes from the aforementioned bizarre and unconventional setup being somewhat too difficult to understand what's going on. By simply dropping us into this story about her journey through these various confrontations or battles without any context or setup, it can feel incredibly disjointed and directionless due to that lack of explanation. It all becomes obvious later on as her fight continues, but the immersion becomes a bit difficult at times. As well, there are also a few limitations and detriments to come about due to the low budget here, from the presentation of the effects to the overdubbed dialogue which are generally more of a personal preference than a true flaw to be had with this one.
