How can a film take itself so seriously when they have no budget or talent to work with? Understand your limitations and work within them. This movie fails because it tries to be something it could never be. Dump the pretentious voice overs, the artsy filters, the jump cuts, the tell-not-show, and the rest of the distracting garbage and just present a straightforward story with a character or two the audience cares about.
Alas, no. Some of the combat scenes could have been decent, but clearly little effort was put into them. The narration was unnecessary and tedious, all tell and no show (hey director, in case you hadn't noticed it's a motion picture!) adding nothing to the story. Speaking of story, what was it? Creep deserts the army, goes rogue, and kills a bunch of random people. Is he a good guy, a bad guy. Who cares. The acting is so poor the audience has nothing to root for.
Two stars for the action scenes.

I gave this a 7/10 for an indie film.
A low - mid-range budget & unknown cast.
Had no preconceived ideas about what this was about before watching it.
For what it is, it kept my attention for the length of the film. Which is saying a lot considering how much media I consume each day and how much I turn off due to poor quality content (which is a lot!).
Special effects were okay, acting was not so bad really, storyline was not so bad either.
Look for an indie it did okay.
I don't want to say too much and give anything away.
It's an original, and don't go in with expectations, just let it flow.
So in my scoring, for an indie film of this type & budget, I give it a 7/10.
Good start for these guys.

For a low budget dystopian future film, it wasnt bad. Plenty of Blade Runner and Terminator synth sounds. A harsh desert landscape and bombed out cities are featured thruout the film.
CGI and Special Effects could be better but Ive seen much worse. The blood spatter and squibs were done well for low budget.

So as a Bongmaster, I get to watch a lot of films. This was one of the new Indies that caught my attention. I was pleasantly surprised by the originality and movement of the film. Some of the elements of this film were unlike any I have seen before. Whether it be the mutant witch doctor tribe or the futuristic dune pyramid stuff. Any way from front to back it was a super solid project. Art is subjective, so reviews are beside the point. Art requires time and effort, which was very present in this film.

Why do these types of movies continue to be made? They are dreadful across so many disciplines: writing, direction, sound, editing, lighting, acting, and even costume ... there are so many flaws in production that one must question who thought this was "good"; I get the image of the director looking at himself in a mirror and saying: "Yes, I did an amazing job". The incompetency here is as aggravating as it is blandly anaemic. The pompous sense of trying to feel important overshadows a production desperately trying to pass itself off as a movie by mimicking almost every feature-scene apparent in other - superior - movies. Someone is desperately trying to impress others and confusing their woeful abilities with alarmingly tragic ineptitude - making a movie is an achievement , but making an awful movie take a special kind of talent, especially when those involved pleasure themselves duplicating scenes without the skill, experience, or talent in knowing how those parts fit together. Granted most people must start somewhere, however, this type of product, as with so many similar projects, suffers greatly in the hands of incompetent dilettantes with pretentious ambitions. Instead of churning out mediocre movies, save the money towards something more worthwhile; stop pretending, stop deluding yourself, stop trying to impress yourself and learn the basics, learn the nuance of the art of this medium; gain experience and work with better professionals in how to produce better movies, as this one is an unforgivable mess of monumental proportions.
