Les hosts the first edition of a quiz where two team leaders have to begin by choosing four "fast friends", based on who provides the quickest answer. In doing so, one potential team member who fails is told by Les he's a "fat head".
Two more contestants play the game, where the second round sees the selected teams compete to answer as many multiple choice questions as possible. Incorrect answers have the players placed in the "dump dock", and the largest team wins.
Les hosts a third edition of Fast Friends, where the final round sees the winning team compete to win a share of cash by picking 7 correct choices out of a grid of 8. For the captain, there's an even bigger prize - they can win a holiday.
A quickly contested game sees Les get to spend more time onscreen with the players, including a lady who had recently been made redundant. Les sympathises, bringing out his hanky for some comic crying.
A holiday in Antigua is the top prize in this edition of Fast Friends - but in order to get it, the winning team must identify which 7 out of 8 actresses have appeared in James Bond movies.
Les hosts another edition, where the frantic selection process sees him almost give away one of the answers. Yet despite the fast-paced chaos, Les reassures a nervous contestant: "Nobody's watching the show anyway".

Les is buoyed by an enthusiastic studio audience, responding well to his gags. As well as a winning team playing for a holiday and cash prizes, there's also the prizes for the losing side - pocket cameras and Fast Friends address books.
£300 and a holiday to Goa is the star prize in this edition. Yet Les works with a less responsive studio audience this week, eventually getting a laugh and telling them he doesn't want the sympathy.
Another two contestants rush to collect teams of "Fast Friends", and make their way through a series of multiple choice questions. Awaiting the winning team is a decidedly hard final grid, featuring 7 Oscar winners - and 1 red herring.

"I've never worked on a show that goes so smoothly," jokes Les as he hosts the final edition of a quiz he would later deride as: "an American idea and it should have stayed right there in America - preferably on Boot Hill."
